Lovely woodland and hillside walks of varying lengths. Main Glen Vale 'red' managed walk is 4.5km one way but there are other rougher paths available. There are other car parks for Glen Vale (see map). While we were there work was being done on repairs to the paths due a large landslide but it was passable. Could do with some directional signage for novice walkers.

Limited parking available, and as I'm sure many have said, its always busy. I got lucky and got a space in the overflow verge outside the car park.
Simple path to follow, takes you to John Know pulpit

Great place to park your car. Sometimes I just go to park my car then drive away again just for the experience.

Very small car park that's tough to get a space in (6-7 cars). Lots of great walks around here so definitely not a reflection of the area. Its lovely. I'd recommend you either go very early, on a mid week non peak time (not school or public holidays) or plan a route that involves alternative parking.

Road is single track and not the best so parking at the side of the road really isn't an option.

If you don't you better hope you have lady luck on your side.

As you come out the carpark walk to your left and follow signs for John Knox Pulpit or to the right you can walk up and to the Bunnet Stane. There's a very small amount of additional parking 4-5 cars max at the Bunnet Stane.

Glen Vale car park itself is no great. Too small and alway full. There is a picnic spot here and is well kept. No overflowing bins. Glen Vale is the ideal parking spot for exploring the Lomon Hills, which are a fantastic walk. About two hours up West Lomond and back. Due to being the highest point in Fife, you can see all the way to Edinburgh, Dundee and beyond. Lots of live stock so dogs must be on leads.
