Wenallt Car Park

It's free and perfect place to leave your car before walking through the wenallt. There are some bins and a couple of tables making it a good spot for a picnic.

Always beautiful especially at this time of year. Bluebells are spectacular! Car park full so parking tricky though.

Beautiful woodland. Lovely for walks, picnics and den building. Love taking my kids here.

Hard to reach in a small car but clean enough with bins and sitting benches

Lovely woods, and when the blue Bell's are out it's like a fairy tale land full of ghost of the past and if you are lucky you might just hear the distant sounds of swords clashing deep in the woods but beware the wolves in black. they mean you no harm but you might just join the pack and never look back

Beautiful place and a perfect place for dog walks! It's my favourite location to exhaust my puppy and he's always tired when we get back. There are rivers everywhere and the nature is beautiful! Especially during spring when all of the bluebells come out. We often see horses and robin around the forest. And free parking too (which is always a bonus) 🤣!

This is a great place to have a stroll away from the hustle and bustle of Cardiff. Easy free parking, even if the odd space is taken up with burnt out vehicles! Best time to visit is bluebell season in April and May. Although there are many wide paths, it’s not very pushchair friendly unless you have a sturdy all-terrain one.
Tip: cross the road and look at the views over Cardiff.
