Great views from up the top of the mountain, bit of a trek to get up there but once you are, wow.. Such a great view point on a clear day you can see for miles either across to Newport or Bristol or even towards Pontypool way. Couple of pictures below of an early morning walk up to the top. Great for hikers or dog walkers or anyone just wanting to get some fresh air and a good walk. Great opportunity for photography to be had especially landscape photography. Lucky to have this on my doorstep, the only issue I would point out and advise to be careful is off road motorbikes sometimes go up here which is not permitted. I'd suggest wrapping up warm and with wellies or suitable walking boots and bring some snacks and some water along just in case. Quiet a clean car park with plenty of parking, can get busy during the day so I would advise to get there early, parking is free all day and night which is great, be careful of the free roaming sheep running around up there. All in all a great place to have a good walk and some fresh air or some thinking time, if you've never been I would suggest you do!

Great place for a local dog walk. Lovely views of the Beacons and Severn estuary from up top. Nice loop through Cwmcarn Forest.

A beautiful spot to take in some nature and views. Spoilt by the minority with littering or noisy cars.

This is a good place if you want to walk in the countryside. I bring my granddaughter as she likes to see the sheep that roam freely in this area.

Space for 20 cars or so in the car park. Free car parking. Litter bin in car park. Single track road with passing places leads to the car park. Access to variety of paths, some are quite challenging and steep! Excellent views back over cwmbran and further afield

Free car park at about the highest point you can reach by car. Be aware that the only access is by a narrow road with few stopping points. Good place to watch a sunrise, but your view of the sunset will be blocked by another hill.
