PLEASE PLEASE make sure to get a ticket from the machine even if you are only parking for an hour, which is free. Been parking here for years when either using library or having quick walk on the beach front. You never needed to display a ticket when only parking for an hour, but this has changed now!! Now you need to display a ticket even if you're only staying for the free hour. We got caught out because we hadn't realised it had changed. Really important to display your tickets in this car park because if you do get a ticket and for whatever reason can't or don't pay they pass the debt on to a company called Andrew James Enforcement. You don't want this company chasing you, seriously, just look at the reviews for them online. Recently parking meters in this car park have been down every now and then. We take a picture of the meters to show both aren't working, then put a note on the windscreen with the time that we arrived. Take a picture of the note so that the photo will have the same time on it to prove what time you arrived.

It's a car park. Free for 1st 3 hours. Ideal for either a visit to civic centre and library or for a stroll along the promenade and beach.

2 hours free parking here Mon to Sat and free on Sundays. You need to use the parking machine to get a ticket and stick to the 2 hours as well patrolled.
