This is the car park to go up the hills to get to Pen y Fan, the mountain! I think. We found out later that the car park is Storey Arm Outdoor Education Centre is a lot better. But we had a great day hiking up! Great views! The dog loved it as well.

The best car park to start the Pen Y Fan horseshoe loop walk from. Some public toilet facilities would be a bonus.....

Fair amount of parking spaces and easy to find. Looks like there are a handful of free car parking spaces just a little further up the hill so may be worth checking there before paying.

You can pay by phone so don't worry if you don't have coins. No toilets here.

Beautiful car park for Pen y fan hike, always quiet, parking 2-3£ full I think, only coins. Not so busy like the south side.

Fair bit of room to park, although it was full by the time I came back down the mountain.
Car park is £3 for all day, however it does not take cards so be prepared.

I took the family up to the fan. Its a hard trek when it's bad weather, but medium when it's OK. Lovely walk that isn't anywhere near as busy as the other side from storys. Off the beaten track....be very aware of saftey kit going up. If you bet caught out with the weather, you'll.find yourself in a very difficult and dangerous situation.

Very good start point to hike towards Pen y Fan. No info about opening times on board.
It seems to be "not open" before 8am, as you can't pay for it before that time and app will say that car park is close. Pay by app (Paybyphone) or web, coins (exact money, no change given) or members card.
No overnight parking signs.

Tidy little car park for several trails around Brecon. I didn't actually realise you had to pay - I only saw the machine on the way out! Lucky no ticket received.

If the first section is full, there is a second and third section further in with more more space. My picture is from the second area, where I was when I arrived around 11am.

Signs very clearly posted about not parking overnight. It's a 2 minute walk from the car park to the bottom of the mountain trail, easy enough even for a hopeless navigator like myself.
