Beautiful landscape! Fairly clean and quiet car park over the reserviore. Great sport to wait for the sunrise or sunset. If you'd like to take some stunning photos this place is one of the best if the light conditions are good you have brilliant reflections on the surface of the water. There is no toilet facilities but there is a wooden table if you'd like to eat something with your friends or family out there.

The dawn mist hovers over the water like a scene from Harry Potter, a magical and peaceful early morning wake-up call from an abundance of Welsh wildlife. Our winter visit was void of humans so we were quite alone which was perfect for us as opposed to our second trip in warmer April when the Instagram photographers were out in force 😆 It would be wonderful if the council could provide a couple more bins, one bin is not enough. I picked some litter up with our litter picker and a guy and gal in a Farrari pulled up and I swear he thought I was a paid litter picker, he was very polite towards me though 🙈. Fantastic spot for a campervan stop-over, a little gem of Welsh beautifullness 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (is that a word? 😉)

Absolutely STUNNING views high above the reservoir. It was wild and windy when we visited but was still very beautiful. Lots of birds and very peaceful

We stopped off here as part of our trip to Snowdonia to rest up for a few minutes. I'm glad we did so as the views were amazing. There is a picnic spot complete with a few tables.
Our visit coincided with the 2022 heat wave and unfortunately there were no shaded areas. No big deal though.

Wonderful parking place with views across a huge, interesting reservoir and surrounding hills. Picnic benches, so great place to stop for lunch on our journey up through Wales.

This was our last stop on our drive around the reservoir. Stunning views looking down at the dam to the left and right across the whole reservoir below.

There's an information board telling the story and legend behind the rivers that run into and the reservoir itself.

There's wooden benches to sit on, picnic tables and loads of parking. There's actually two levels with the lower part be being a little larger.

Well worth the stop, especially after seeing the reservoir in "snippets" en route to see it in all its full glory at the end was lovely.

A lovely stop anytime of the year, sunshine /
Bit of rain in the air, snow it is always an amazing view and a great place to stop over before heading further north into the lovely Welsh countryside. Used to be a tea wagon here pre Covid days sadly no longer here. But not to far from the little village of Llanidloes, where you can pick up food and drink and enjoy the splendid views whilst having a bite to eat. Free car park that is on a split level with information boards telling you about the local area. The long distance walk of " Glyndwr's Way " passes along the reservoir ( look out for the National trails acorns on marker posts / gates ) As per usual, visit, enjoy the scenery and take your litter home.
