I needed help with rat issues at my business and called Opkill as they were very local to me. Answered the phone right away and Sarah was really helpful on the phone. Guys sent out that same day and sorted our rat problems and inspected the property with recommendations on what to do in the future. Inwas actually surprised as was expecting a large bill but very reasonable for service given. I will now only use these guys in the future

I was recommended this company by friends on Lichfield District council, I feel highly disappointed. I had them out initially because I had woodworm and agreed to one of their treatments. A product called lignum pro was used which the technician claimed was over £200 and you can buy the same product for around £20 online. The dilution the technician used was very weak as the gentleman treating the woodworm left the container in my back garden and I read the instructions all on my CCTV rear camera. He also asked for a jug from my kitchen which I had to throw away as it was used for the insecticide. I've now due to lack of confidence of the very -weak dilution and not following the instructions on the manufacturers label on the product they use obviously so they can get more treatments and make more money have little confidence in their work and I'm going to do the job again myself. Nearly £300 down the drain. Numerous times I've been promised emails on the guarantees absolutely nothing. Feel extremely let down and more importantly ripped off

Lee visited our property and was brilliant. Polite, Professional and explanatory. He also listened to my theory, despite me having no idea what I was on about it. Opkill we’re also by far the cheapest option.

As the Nests were both at our Address, a Reduction in Price would have been nice. As it was, quite expensive.

Had a mice infestation a few weeks ago, caught about 17 in mouse traps Optikil came and put poison boxes down in the garden, under the kitchen cupboards and in the loft. Problem seems to have gone away now thank goodness. Very professional service. Would recommend

I had substantial and expensive work done by Opkill, work with a 5 year Parts and Labour Guarantee. I first contacted this firm in May 22 to report a fault and requested a repair. I have records of numerous calls and written records of promises made that the repair work would be done. The work has not been done and I have been told that the delay was because people were on holiday, people were off sick and people had 'family problems'. I've now been told the part I have been seeking to have replaced are not under guarantee and that I should have been told this. Well, I was never told this and I have a full written 'parts and Labour guarantee' to show this is not true.
There is something seriously wrong in a business that does not answer calls (except to get new business), that appears to have so many staff problems that means appointments are broken and a firm that refuses to honour a written guarantee.
I could not recommend this firm for substantial work (removing a wasps nest might be ok as at least you can tell it's gone!) but anything more, you will be left on your own as several other posters are reporting here. It's firms like this that necessitate Trading Standards.
