Hello now I will explain why I have given 1 star.
Yesterday on the 11th of may 2019 myself and my mother purchased some bits from the shop as looked really good and stood out.
I have asperger's syndrome so I apologise in advance if my grammar is incorrect.
My mother gave the Lady in the shop and 20 pound note and the woman shortchanged my mother and gave change of a 10 pound note so she owes my mother 10 pounds.
I went back into the shop just 5 minutes after my mother realised she has given her the wrong change. I went to the shop and informed the woman she has given my mother the wrong change as is not the money it is the principal and the woman snapped at me very rudely and unprofessional when all i did was simply inform her she was in the wrong. Obviously she felt embarrassed by this so she spoke to Myself in an very intimidating way. I genuinely hoped she would do the right thing as my mother gave her her number and name so when she cashed up today it would be, she would realise she is 10 pounds over in the till and return it or at least call my mother to apologise for her mistake but as I suspected from her attitude I knew this would not be the case.
I hope they check the CC TV and return what they owe.
I am well within my rights to take 10 pounds in value from the shop as it is fair but I'm a better person so won't.

We have just moved to the area and have over 30 pets and I would have spent a great deal of time and money in the shop but unfortunately due to the unprofessionalism of the woman that day regardless of whether they do the right thing or not we will not be returning to the shop which is very sad as it has a lot of great stuff for great prices but the customer service is poor to say the least. Pity.

A nice little shop in Birchington where all the shops are busy. It has the full range of pet foods and accessories and it is easy to find what you need. If you cannot find what you need then the staff will happily point you in the right direction.

Friendly owner. Cheap prices. Great parrot food :) my parrot is on vacation there for a week too! All round good private owned small shop.

Just wanted to say how helpful they were today . I went with two very different dogs needing new harnesses . They took us into a secure area at the back of the shop so we could try them on . They were happy for me to try different harnesses , until we found the right ones . I was also given some very helpful advice on food as she noticed she was quite windy !! I was given a sample of kibble to try and I think I will be going back to change her food .

Great service today from ladies regarding a coat for my cavalier. Perfect fit and looks great. Thank you so much. I'll be in soon to look at halti lead.

I visited Birchington Pet Shop on the 10th September, because my 14 year old Staffie had an upset stomach. The lady who served me was absolutely brilliant at giving me good sound advice on treatment and foods. Very friendly and professional advice and I highly recommend Birchington Pet Shop.

Friendly service and knowledgeable staff, big variety of treats and entertainment for pets. Will make this our go to store for our dog.
