After spending 3 hours in Lewisham hospital with my baby this morning I queued for ages in Boots to get his prescription. After paying for the prescription I was only then told that it was a 25 minute wait for the prescription. I said this wasn’t ok because my baby was already distressed and hadn’t slept from being in hospital all morning, and so I asked to speak to the pharmacist to see if they could speed up my baby’s prescription. The staff member I was dealing with wasn’t wearing identification. She was aggressive and shouted at me in front of and refused to let me speak to the pharmacist. This is a picture of the staff member who shouted at me.

I have always had a great experience here, and have no complaints. Maybe it's because i work in health care myself but i would rather wait longer than getting a prescription that was wrong due to a doctor's error. The 15 mins waiting time is an unrealistic expectation and i think they need to change that because it puts a lot of pressure on the staffs who are overworked whenever i go there. If the pharmacist behind hasn't checked my prescription over properly i would have been given the wrong dose by the prescribing doctors in A&E. I cannot thank them enough for spotting the error.

Came into the Pharmacy today as my mum had major surgery and needed her prescriptions before going home. The nurses had sent the prescription down prior to me arriving (4pm). When I asked the woman at the front of her prescription was ready she couldn’t find any record of her in their system. She proceeded to vanish for 10 minutes until she came out and said the script was only just given in 20 minutes ago. When I said that was impossible, since I had been there for 30 minutes at that point and it was dropped off at least an hour before I came, one of the women proceeded to shout at me in front of the room.

Best to say I was not happy, my mum had to send down the nurse who put her script in to speak to the woman. We are lucky enough that my mum works at this hospital, so I can’t imagine how bad it is for people who don’t have that luxury. I had been standing with people who had waited 4 hours.

Eugh prescription issued Thursday, waited 80 mins to be charged then told they only have 1 of 2 medicines.
Saturday 40 min queue with toddler, nothing, left phone number.
Monday they called to say come and collect.
Waited an hour while they "checked it" before admitting they'd lost it!
One week later I arrived at 8am to finally get second half.
No idea what is going on there.

Impossible to collect your prescription within a sufficient amount of waiting time - you really need to take half a day off from work! I was told to wait in the ridiculously long queue just so I can pick up a ticket?! Then after I have collected my ticket, I then had to wait another two hours for my prescription to be ready - omg this really is a joke!

Very poorly mannered staff & organisation.

I also tried calling Boots Lewisham pharmacy numerous times a day, everyday for over a week to see if my prescription was ready before I waited in this ridiculous long queue for no reason - only for NO ANSWER each time I called - I gave up after constantly ringing!

* I would give 0 stars if I could - AVOID *

I was told on Thursday 17/11/2022 at 12:30 pm to wait 2 hours 40 mins to get my meds after being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis & Osteoarthritis. I was in so much pain. Thank you Boots, disgusting and maladministration by this pharmacy. Per normal!! 😡

I honestly think that one star is too much for this pharmacy. The staff are clearly so done with their jobs and the demands put on them, that the exasperation of the patients that queue for hours to speak to someone and then wait for hours for their prescriptions, is just disregarded because it is so common. So many patients are then told that the pharmacy doesn't have everything in stock, or that they'll get a phone call to come back at another time (the phone calls never happen, and good luck trying to get hold of anyone that works here on the phone). The hours of my life I've wasted, sat waiting for a prescription only to be fobbed off and made to feel insignificant. The stress knowing that I'll have to come back here and do this all over again, still with no guarantee that I'll be able to get the medication I need. Boots and Lewisham hospital need to do better. The current system is a shambles and you owe your patients, and staff more than this.

I went to this hospital for the first time as a patient. The Dr from the outpatiance clinic advised me my prescription had been sent to Boots pharmacy. This happoned today. I waited just over 30 minutes, most of the time, no patience were being served and more and more people joined the que. I ended up leaving the prescription there today. Terrible service and no explanation provided to patience. This contract should be awarded to another provider. What use service. If you have a choice of using alternatives compare to this pharmacy, I highly recommend you use someone else. Why is the senior hospital staff not dealing with this.
