Santas Pharmacy

A friend had quite a distressing experience at this pharmacy. She went in for the 5 day morning after pill. She was feeling very anxious at the prospect of being pregnant and went in to the buy the medication . Both the pharmacist and the assistant showed no concern and told her to 'read the box' when she asked for instructions on how to take it.

My friend was clearly in tears when she entered the pharmacy and received no professional concern or support or welfare treatment by these two healthcare professionals. The two professionals were unhelpful, rude and ignored the fact that this could have been a safeguarding issue.

Pharmacists have the responsibility to direct vulnerable patients to other healthcare practitioners. After speaking to several clinics, my friend now has received the right counseling.

Nice staff. Got my flu jab today, if you want or need a flu jab they have stock available, unlike the rest of the pharmacy’s that don’t have stock or aren’t giving it to people who pay privately for it. I pay privately as I don’t qualify for NHS flu jabs.

The pharmacist is a time-wasting pedant. I went across the road and they gave me my prescription without bother.

Needless to say, Father Christmas wasn't present

It is true to say that I am not easily impressed, and so this is my first-ever review on here. And it is a positive one.
I went to Santas for my latest Covid booster and the staff I spoke to were really efficient and friendly. They even gave me my flu thingy, too. That leaves me with absolutely nothing to moan about. For a change.
Note to Santas; just put that fiver in the post, as agreed.

A great pharmacy. The guy here really cares about doing a good job and is really helpful.

Non-existent customer service, old and faded products on shelves. I was told by the elderly lady they don't accept international debit cards because "they're nothing but trouble". It's still a Mastercard, and I had used it in there before?
I would instead recommend the pharmacy opposite and about 2 minutes walk up. Cheaper prices, larger range, nicer people.

I don't tend to write negative reviews but I was appalled by the service I received here. They made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed which is never acceptable – particularly at a pharmacy where many people might feel vulnerable asking for help. I'm surprised they have any customers at all. I hope they read this review and reflect on the way they speak to people in future.
The Pharmacy across the road is a different story – always polite and friendly, go there instead!

The level of service is outstanding!
Every single time my family and I visit the staff go over and beyond to all customers.
A great variety of products and if you don't see what you need, if possible they will order it in for you and call you personally to inform you they now have it in stock for you.
The Pharmacist is exceptional in offering advice on medical issues and treatment, he has been spot on each occasion. Across the board by
far the best Chemist in the area.
