I have been to and seen a lot of physios and specialist with numerous amount of injuries and problems. Since going to see Maz I wouldn’t feel the need to see anyone else. He is personable and full of knowledge. I hugely respect his philosophy and the way he trains. It’s all about you fixing you and he just aids you along that process. Unlike a lot of physios that stick a load of machines on you or prescribe you a few sessions deep tissue massages and wishy washy exercises, Maz doesn’t white wash problems he helps you get to the root of the problem and a way to get back to painless and free movement. I had terrible knees for 2 1/2 years, it feel like needles in my kneecaps when I walked down the stairs. After a few sessions with Maz and following his exercises, advice and movements supplemented into my programme I was without pain after 6months. I am now 1 1/2 years further on and my knees are still great. I can run long distance, squat loads heavier and kick a football with no problems. It’s simple and hard work over months not weeks but in the long run it’s the fastest route to success, non of that quick fix rubbish we get told on a day to day basis in social media. If you are serious about getting sorted see Maz and do the work.

Maz is very professional and seems to have knowledge about absolutely everything.
I have gone to him for strength coaching/training and everything has improved since using Maz. It’s not just the exercises but I’ve since learned how important stretching and mobility work is and how that goes hand in hand with any type of fitness goal.
He really will get the best out of you.

After starting boxing training I developed a nasty ache in my lower back. This was a nightmare as I had a fight in 8 weeks and couldn’t afford any injuries. I tried some stretching at home and hot baths etc but nothing seemed to work.

I found Maz through a mutual friend and got booked in. The great part about Maz was that, unlike most specialists I have been to in the past he didn’t say to stop training which was music to my ears. Instead he gave me a plan to follow to heal and strengthen my lower back for the future.

All the exercises he gave me are on his app which is mega handy as it’s always by your side when you get a spare 10 minutes for the exercises. There is also videos on the app so you get the stretches just right.

After a few weeks my back pain went. Maz is very good at following up to see how you are getting on and genuinely cares about your recovery.

Thanks to Maz I’m fighting fit. I cannot recommend him enough.

After suffering for about 2 years with knee and upper hamstring pain whilst cycling and after seeing consultants, bike fitters and 3 other physios I finally found Maz. After a through examination I was given an accurate diagnosis of my problems and a structured plan and time frame that Maz saw me getting back to cycling. With some hard work and a plan I am now back to full fitness and hoping to take on one of my hardest endeavors on a bike which before going to Maz I thought I would not be able ever to do. I still see him on a regular basis to ensure I remain injury free. If you're an athlete looking for a physio who really understands injuries, your body and most importantly your need to get back to your sport look no further!

Training with Maz is more than just a physio offering you short term pain relief or a personal trainer that will just push you and count your reps, it's much more than that! Maz will provide you with the knowledge and foundational tools to manage any future injuries and the optimum support to reach your training goals, whether that be to build muscle and strength or anything else! Plus he has the best equipment you'll find compared to any high street gyms!

Have been training with Maz for a couple of years after initially contacting him with an achilles injury. Then began strength training with him and I'm now stronger than ever - but more importantly on the path towards further progression thanks to the guidance and training programme put together by Maz.

Maz really saved me when I had severe neck spasm. Very professional and dedicated from diagnosing, treatment, exercise and even checking up on the progress. It makes a difference when you exercise under supervision of a professional and avoid injuries and long term problems from exercising in a wrong way, when you just wanted to stay fit. I am looking forward to my strenght and mobility journey with Step up Physiotherapy.

I spent more than ten years trying to stretch and mobilise my tightness and nagging pains away, visiting countless specialists in that time, all with no success. After a year on Maz’s (highly personalised) strength and mobility programme not only were those issues gone but my posture, movement, mobility and lifting technique all improved considerably.

Whether you’re looking for a physio, strength coach or PT, I highly recommend Maz. He knows exactly what’s needed to get you feeling and moving better, and his strength programme will get you stronger at not just the normal gym lifts but also movements you wouldn't have previously thought possible.

My son booked me an appointment with Maz as he had heard such great things about him from mutual clients (he’s a PT) and I was suffering very much with crippling sciatica and had been for 3 weeks. I could do nothing to get any relief. Maz was so thorough and knew exactly what I was talking about - he showed me exercises to do that have helped enormously and give me great relief. Although I’d already spoken to my GP he encouraged me to do so again and get a certain pain killer - I did and again this has offered relief. With the pain killers and exercises, whilst not cured and I think it will take a while, it’s so different and I’ve been able to get back to work.

If you need help or advice - I 100% recommend Maz. He’s very friendly and approachable. Give it a try.
