I had excruciating Achilles and heel problems caused by bursitis, a heel spur and a pandemic induced enthusiasm to go from ‘sedentary’ to walking then running miles with no real prior experience. This left me hobbling and unable to move very far without being in real pain. James and his team worked wonders and I’ve just had an ultra-sound steroid injection which has proved miraculous. I’m literally pain-free for the first time in at least a year. I’d absolutely recommend the clinic, it’s treatments and in particular the injection. Painful in the moment but we’ll worth it for how I’m feeling now.

Attended A&E following sudden severe pain in right hip. X-ray showed no bony injury or osteoarthritis but no ultrasound or MRI able to be given ( apparently not on MSK pathway ). Following an appointment with James at the clinic I was examined with appropriate tests and an ultrasound helped to confirm the diagnosis and finally some suggested treatment. I then had a hip joint injection which provided relief and at last enabled me to stand having been unable to for 4 days !! The pain diminished significantly and I was quickly able to reduce the 4 hourly morphine I had been prescribed by A&E. Two weeks later I am walking with walking stick . I believe I would still be in terrible pain on large amounts of morphine and fairly immobile had I not had treatment from James st the clinic . Fully recommend !!!

So, after 30 months of shoulder pain and certain professionals advising " You've got to live with the pain, sorry ". My 90 year old mother was treated by James at the
Woodthorpe Road premises. He advised a suitable injection which was given. She noticed an immediate improvement in her ability to move. Her physio said she has made significant improvement with her management of Osteoarthritis. So much so she has now had both knees injected with the same product. She left the premises having a dance with James...not bad for a 90yr old. She is absolutely delighted with the result. Thankyou James. From Joan Titterton.

At 70 years old, I have had two partial knee replacements and have arthritis in both hips. My right hip was giving me constant nagging pain and causing difficulty in my finding a sleeping position. At times it gave way, especially when getting up in the morning and made stairs very difficult. I really did not want to go down the route of further replacement operations. My partner has, over the last two years, attended Nottingham Sports Injury Clinic with mild to moderate knee arthritis. James initially recommended Ostenil injections and then, quite recently, Durolane, which has been very beneficial. When the clinic began to offer a treatment package of a steroid injection to relieve pain and bring down inflammation followed three to four weeks later by a Durolane hyaluronic injection using ultra sound guidance for hips, I thought it sounded exactly what I needed although I felt a little apprehensive. On 2nd August, I had the steroid injection. Amazingly, it worked immediately. The awful nagging pain I had thought I would just have to live with had disappeared. I couldn’t believe it. This injection continued to give me full pain relief for the following three weeks. I have been able to walk further, climb stairs and even chase my young grandson around the garden. The odd twinge started a couple of days ago and I was pleased that I had the Durolane injection booked for today as the thought of returning to the pain I was having when the steroid effects wore off was very concerning. The Durolane injection today left me a little sore around the injection site and I am waiting to see the full effect of it, which I understand I should feel after around a week. I am so pleased that I committed to this course of treatment and am feeling very positive about the longer term outcome.

I booked at appointment with James using the online system the day I injured myself at the gym. This was just six days before an exceptionally important competition. An appointment was available for the coming day. James was polite, open and listened to me. He examined me and after a number of questions diagnosed my fault. He worked on my body. I left my first appointment confident that I knew what was wrong and with some easy to follow demonstrated exercises to do before my next appointment. James found space for me in his diary three days after my initial appointment and the day before our competition. He was happy with my progress but I wasn’t at 100% working order. He worked on me at the appointment for a further 30 minutes. It hurt but was comfortable and with the lovely background music I was just fine. Before I left james re examined my and declared my movement as perfect and so it was.
The following day at the competition I completed all rounds successfully and pain free. I even achieved a PB deadlift by 3kg. For a girl who couldn’t get out of bed six days earlier then you can imagine how thrilled I was.
James is wonderful and a miracle worker. He defiantly puts you at ease and listens and knows how important being better is without robbing you!!
I met a medical hero and couldn’t recommend him enough. If you need help book at appointment.

Having suffered shoulder and arm pain for eight months, unable to sleep or do certain activities, I went back to see James who treated both issues. The shock wave therapy for the tendonopathy and the ultrasound guided injection for the bursitis which was diagnosed later through an MRI scan. I can now sleep on my right side and no longer have persistent pain down the length of my arm. It's such a relief! James has been brilliant and I would not hesitate to go back should any other other bits of me fall apart!

i had been suffering with Knee pain and this had limited me playing sport and exercising. James recommended Duralane injection, which i had an immediate positive response, and over the next 5-6 weeks the knee joint got better and better. im back to playing hockey 2 -3 times and week and back in the gym, i'm still building the strength in the knee to pre knee pain level
the painful knee started to impact on my back as i compensated for my knee this has also all but gone now

Did not have to wait long for an appointment. Saw James who was very knowledgeable and friendly and solved my problem within a couple of visits. My shoulder/arm was in agony and I could not move it or put weight on it. James treated me and gave me exercises to do at home to help. I feel like he was a miracle worker! Thank you James.
