Following an RTA a year ago I sustained multiple fractures to both legs and was wheelchair bound for three months.
When I was eventually able to weight bear Gareth was recommended to me as the best person to help me rehabilitate. I began with hydrotherapy sessions with Liz Davies who let me believe that recovery was possible. I then progressed to land based exercises with Gareth.
He metaphorically, and sometimes literally, held my hand through the process of learning to walk again, enabling me to build my confidence as much as my strength, to the point where I almost have returned to my previous abilities.
His professional approach and expert skills are outstanding. I am very grateful to him.

I contacted Gareth to see if he could help my 85 year old mum with a cortisone injection to relief bursitis of the hip. She was in considerable pain, had very limited mobility and the wait time at her NHS doctor was 6 weeks. We saw Gareth this week, he was very professional and kind to my mum, checked her symptoms and administered the injection and gave lots of useful advice. The next morning my mum woke up pain free for the first time in many months, feels like a new person and she is delighted with the treatment from Gareth. Thank you for you help and we would 100% recommend Gareth and IPS.

After having severe hip pain over the last 6 months, I decided to have a MRI scan to see what was going on. The scan showed I had the following diagnosis:

‘soft tissue oedema (swelling) in right quadratus femoris muscle from ischiofemoral impingement’

I was advised that I needed a Ultra sound guided cortisone injection to try and ease the pain.

IPS physios came highly recommended and at the most reasonable price so I booked a appointment with Gareth.

The injection was pain free and Gareth advised me that it could take up to a week to take affect.

The following week I was able to go skiing with my family and I have to say the injection kicked in just in time for me to have a pain free holiday.

I’m writing this post three weeks after my injection and I’m
Still pain free.

Thank you very much Gareth & team. Absolutely amazing knowledge and professionalism. I will be recommending you to others.

I cannot speak highly enough of the IPS team! Since being diagnosed with MS 6 years ago I’ve seen many people regarding my condition and how to move forward but none of them compare with Liz and her team, Morgan and Sophie. I signed up for a comprehensive package and from day one I knew I was at last in the hands of people who knew my predicament.
The help, support and professionalism of Liz and Morgan was second to none and I am at last able to move forward having been equipped with far more relevant information than has ever been the case. Not for one minute did I ever feel that I wasn’t being helped or looked after and the hydrotherapy part of the package was a real eye opener in terms of what I would be able to do in a swimming pool after the treatment was over.
I would thoroughly recommend Liz and the team to anyone thinking of undergoing physiotherapy, you will be well looked after and you will definitely benefit from it. I shall always be very grateful for all the help I received, thank you Liz, Morgan and Sophie

IPS was recommended to me, and in particular Kim, who has worked with me for some time now after a road traffic accident where I had numerous fractures and soft tissue injuries.
To think that when I had my first session with Kim,I couldn't walk at a normal pace, let alone balance, stand for very long, bend over, hop and run.
Now,I can do all the above and it's all due to Kim's perseverance, hard work, specialist care and professional knowledge of what I could finally achieve and ultimately now, can do.
She not only helped me physically but helped me through when I was feeling negative about my pain, injuries and what the future might hold.
At my sessions with Kim we used the fully kitted out gym, starting gently and then progressing to numerous activities.I had never been into a gym previously and was a little apprehensive, but was encouraged by her and and enjoyed it.During this hard work to get me moving again ,we also managed to have a laugh and I shall miss our Thurs morn sessions!
At various times I had accupuncture from Kim,who is highly trained in it, which helped me a lot as well as ultrasound and electro therapy and massages, have got me to where I am feeling my normal self again.
I also had brilliant hydrotherapy with Nicola and jointly with physiotherapy I have come on in leaps and bounds.
I had cortisone injections from Gareth which took away the pain in my knees to allow me to further progress with my physio.
At one point I needed vestibular therapy, which I had with Liz to stop my dizziness, which worked a treat and cleared it up.
These were all part of my rehabilitation and recovery.
I am so very glad I went to IPS. If ever I need any treatments again I would not hesitate to call them. I cannot praise them all enough. To have all these professionals and different treatments available in one company is incredible.
Thank you very much Kim and the IPS team.

I found Gareth through reviews and while I was apprehensive at first having never been an athlete of any kind I am so unbelievably thankful that I found him. I had a complex ACL rupture and meniscus tear from skiing and this happened just before the start of lockdown in 2020. As a result of being a bit lost in the system when things were very chaotic for the hospitals, I didn't weight bear for 6 weeks between injury and surgery which meant a lot of atrophy when I should've been working hard on maintaining strength. I soon found in the post-surgery period that I wasn't meeting any of the regular recovery milestones and really needed more frequent, personalised, hands on and face to face treatment. When I started with Gareth I had less than a 45 degree flexion in my knee and was far off a good extension, a lot of hip pain, a limp - and I was completely disheartened and worried because my recovery wasn't anything like I read it would be. It was really, really hard work with Gareth but in every session he pushed me through the pain and fear of doing damage to my knee - and even made it enjoyable. I have never been a runner but I'm now a fan and even completed a 10k race 12 months after finding him - and loved every moment. He has turned my recovery round and has changed my thinking and belief about my own ability and limits - and the importance of maintaining a good baseline strength for when life throws these curve balls. I've now got good functional movement in my knee, a much more balanced set of quads and no sign of a limp, and while I'm yet to return to skiing, Gareth has confidence that I would be ready and I've trusted him so far! I've already recommended him to a friend and a family member who have also benefited from his skills, and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of an expert physio who will personalise a plan to your specific abilities, push you to your max and help you get to where you never thought possible in your physical recovery.

Having had terrible knee pain for the last 2 years, with no appointment available with the NHS I contacted the IPS and got an appointment the same week! I had excellent and caring treatment at the Talybont clinic and the injections were painless. After 4 days the knee felt so much better that I was able to drop my pain killers to 1 every morning instead of 2, 3 times a day. I can't thank Gareth enough for fitting me in so quickly.

Having waited for 16 months on the NHS for a cortisone injection in my elbow, I contacted the IPS and got an appointment the same day! I had excellent, respectful, skilful and caring treatment at the Talybont clinic and the injection was utterly painless. Here I am 2 days later with less pain in my elbow than I have had in the last 5 years. What a great service and sooo much better than the NHS. Just try it!
