Khany takes the time to explain what he's doing, what he's found, how he'll treat it and what my son can do to follow up and stretch and strengthen the problem area (abductor in my son's case).
Khany is also motivational and takes a holistic approach to people's sporting and excercise ambitions - from the mental side of things to making sure you're drinking enough water.
Thanks Khany.
I was in pain and quite anxious about my injury. I had already tried exercises and strong painkillers with minimal benefit. Khany immediately put me at ease and checked my back. He was able to explain the mechanism of my injury anatomically, at a level appropriate to my understanding. He showed me on a diagram and skeleton model where I had hurt myself. I was really appreciative of the time he spent ensuring I understood what had happened, and how to fix it.
He treated my back with a myofascial trigger point release. This was an unfamiliar procedure to me, and I am very grateful that he clearly communicated what to expect, guided and reassured me throughout the treatment, and gave me sufficient aftercare advice. The procedure was, as expected, slightly painful as the muscle knots were being removed, but ultimately lead to a significant reduction in my pain levels. Within 48 hours of my treatment, I was able to entirely get off the naproxen and cocodamol I had been taking regularly for 8 weeks, and I was able to sit on my chair at work with ease. Over the last few weeks since my treatment, I have been pain free.
I derived incredible benefit from the treatment with Khany, and have been able to practice the rehabilitation stretches and exercises on a regular basis. He gave me plenty of time and ensured that I actually knew how to do the exercises before I left. I'm confident that he has equipped me with information I can use to maintain and develop good mobility in the longer term.
Since this rehabilitation session, Khany has also given me a complimentary advice call, as I was seeking support to get back to the gym after my injury. This in particular helped support me to get back to my normal gym routine and thus improve my mental well being too.
I have since gone on to recommend Khany to my friends and family, particularly those who are athletic. He is considerate and empathetic, and I felt listened to. Khany is friendly and approachable, and I felt comfortable throughout my assessment and treatment. Through his help, I feel a lot better and would have no hesitation in going back to him if needed in the future.
Thanks for your help!
