I've been a student of Genene for 6 months and really enjoy my lessons with her. I hadn't played for 20 years, and catching up has been great. She helps you learn what you want, but can teach a range of styles of music, which is very fun. Beautiful piano too.

Genene taught me for 11 years, and I gained such a wide range of skills, not only in classical piano and theory, but she provided a creative outlet outside of my school studies, where I was able to learn jazz, drums, and compose my own songs. The lessons were engaging and challenging and I thoroughly enjoyed them! Genene tailors the lesson to suit the student, and she identifies and nurtures more specific interests within this. Highly highly recommend!

Genene is a wonderful teacher. She understands extremely well what her students' strengths and weaknesses are, and is able to create engaging lessons that are tailored to each of her pupils needs. She is a great motivator and knows how to captivate students with lessons they are interested in, but also push them to go the extra mile and face the more challenging aspects of their musical development. I highly recommend her as a teacher, pianist and musical scholar.

My daughter has had a number of other piano teachers but Genene is the one who has really motivated and inspired her. They are covering a range of styles, and doing some challenging pieces, and her playing is now a joy to listen to. I wish I'd had a teacher like this... Exceptional.

I came to Genene as an adult beginner at the start of lockdown. Our lessons have been entirely online and Genene has done a great job of teaching and encouraging me via Skype. I've been really happy with my consistent progress and often look back to see just how far I've come in such a short period. All thanks to Genene's constant teaching, guidance and support. Having always wanted to learn to play music I found Genene and started lessons with her when I retired from working. I have found her to be a very creative, innovative and inspiring teacher.

I have been taking piano lessons from Genene for several years. As someone who is well and truly up in years (70s), I can say that she is as warm and wise a music person as anyone could ever wish to meet. Her lessons are always bespoke and tailored to the individual needs of her students. She has a remarkable range of music influences, from the obvious classical formality of exercises and piece-learning for exams, to straight pop/rock/blues, to the most far-out atonal jazz – and much more! A musical education with Genene is as near a boundary-free experience as I, at least, can imagine. More, she has highly attuned perceptions and insights that enable her to discern in her students possibilities and potentialities of which they themselves might as yet be unaware. For anyone considering learning piano, I could recommend no one more highly. A truly exceptional human being.

I really enjoyed my piano lessons with Genene. She is a great teacher and incredibly encouraging and patient with a complete beginner adult! We moved away from the area, so I had to stop the lessons which was a real shame.
