Mike Busby Piano Teacher

Mike is a great teacher and I would highly recommend him to anyone any age. I had no experience at all before I met Mike, but no matter as he caters for all abilities.
He is very knowledgeable and a great pianist. He has a lot of patience and I really look forward to each lesson :)

Mike is an experienced musician with a calm and friendly approach to teaching piano. He gets a feel for what you want as the student and gives clear and constructive feedback to help you make improvements. I thoroughly enjoy our sessions and would recommend him to anyone keen to progress in their piano playing.

I've been having online piano lessons with Mike for a few weeks now, which has made all the difference to my lockdown experience! I had some patchy knowledge of piano before having lessons, and Mike has guided me to find the right music that fits my level and interests, adapts the pace of lessons to fit my ability and gives me way more structure and motivation to practise than I would have had if I was learning on my own. The tech has worked fine after some initial issues at my end! Highly recommended.

I found Mike by accident from a post on Facebook. I used to play when I was younger but since then have forgotten everything about notes, timing and how to play.
I have been having lessons with Mike for about a month or so now - even though we are doing it virtually, I am really enjoying learning from him. He's thorough and good at explaining the theory behind piano playing.
I do look forward to my lessons and really look forward to progressing further.

Mike has a brilliant approach and method to teaching that encourages and builds confidence while helping master technique. He's very clear in his teaching and makes the complicated sound easy. Our Son has been a pupil for 18 months now with fantastic improvement in that time.

I'm really enjoying picking up my piano practice after nearly 40 years of not playing. I actually wasn't sure if I'd be able to get very far, as I didn't fare well as a teenager with the piano. But Mike really helps me to clarify things I'm struggling to get my head (or my fingers!) around, and I'm progressing well. And enjoying it!
