Piano Lessons Surrey

My daughter Sophy, 14, has been having lessons with Matthew for over a year now. He is a calm and patient teacher who has successfully supported her from a novice to now looking at achieving Grade 2 and we hope beyond. He has two pianos so is able to play along with his students and prepares students for both online and Face to Face exams. We are lucky to have him as our music tutor and would recommend him to all ages and abilities as you get plenty of support to how to prepare for exams .

We needed to find a new teacher after the pandemic and my son liked Mathew straight away, saying that he explained specifically how and what to practise when playing. Mathew is patient and encouraging and my son made noticeable progress within a short space of time. He passed his Grade 1 with merit in the summer and is motivated to study for his Grade 2 now.

I highly recommend Matthew as a piano teacher to any student of any ability level. He is knowledgeable and talented, and his love of the music shines through in his teaching. My daughter has learnt so much in her weekly lessons and will soon be applying for her grade 2. She is very shy and doesn't talk, but Matthew has adapted his teaching to suit her needs. We are both very happy with the quality of his teaching and how he has still been able to offer virtual lessons during lockdown.

Would recommend Matthew as a piano teacher. He started teaching our young child in late 2018 and our child continues to enjoy the weekly lessons (during lockdown, he offered virtual lessons). Matthew is extremely patient and attentive, and he is very good at encouraging his students to try more challenging pieces.

I would like to say thanks to Mr. Curtis for teaching Piano to my daughter for last few years. My daughter has enjoyed the lessons and was always looking forward to the lessons. Mr. Curtis is a passionate teacher who has an expertise of the subject. He teaches using well planned structure making it easy and interesting for the students.
