Leapers Rock Orchard

I've never done PYO fruit before (and can't say i know anything about it) buy having stopped in with the family as a spur of the moment decision while driving past i was quite happy with the experience. Once parked (straight after turning off the road) the member of staff was friendly and helpful (telling us which plums were the sweetest, and they even have samples), and the fruit was about a 20 sec walk away (not a slog through lots of mud as I'd feared). We then picked what we wanted and paid based on the weight. I don't know if it was expensive of cheap (under £4 for what amounted to one container of fruit) but i did it as much for the experience as the fruit so i was perfectly fine with that price. I would definitely go back here.

Nice selection of fruit to pick, with very helpful staff keen to share their knowledge. There's a nice field with picnic tables as well - perfect for a half day visit.

Fabulous fruit picking location. Very friendly owners and helpful. Superb for taking the little ones.
(Be respectful and don't waste the crop, if you pick it, put it in your pot if not, put it in the waste buckets)
