Speedframe

Looking for art, pictures, or getting a picture or something like medals, as I have today, then this is the place. I have been coming here since it opened, in the dark mists of time! I am always unsure of style, colour and things so the friendly, personal advice is priceless! I cannot recommend it enough folks. Latest project, in the buff below!

I have a friend who is quite poorly, he's ex RAF and is the recipient of the meritious service medal in addition to Nireland and Lsgc, I asked him what he I would like to happen to his medals when he eventually takes his last mission skywards and he explained that he wanted them to go to his sons. After a length imotional project and organising copies of his medals and other keepsakes to accompany them, I took them to Speed frame and asked for their help to make them all presentable for him. I could not be more pleased with the help I had from Tash there, extremely helpful and insightful. I eventually took 2 of the items I asked them to help me with and I watched a very private moment of an imotional Ex serviceman present one of them to his eldest son. So proud of him and thankful to all at speed frame for their help, thank you guys, fully recommended.

Recently had one of my own drawing/paintings framed by Speedframe. They couldn't have been more helpful , I was informed when it was ready to pick up. It was exactly as I had instructed. Very pleased indeed

On the 16th June 2021, I took my painting, worth £40000 into Speedframe, Lincoln, to be framed. I told the Manager Liz, that the painting was expensive and could extra care be taken, when carrying out the work. Two days later, I received a call from her, informing me, that a SCREWDRIVER has gone through the canvas. You may imagine, my horror on hearing this! However, what she failed to tell me was, that an attempt had been made to cover up the Company's shoddy workmanship, but applying an adhesive. Criminal! At my request, I told the owner, a Mr Stuart Alcock, that would like the painting to go to Mr Simon Gillespie's Studio in London, to be restored. I have since received a call from My Gillespie telling me, that he could not remove the adhesive that had been applied illegally, hence my painting will have lost 15% of its value. When I approached Mr Alcock for compensation, he told me he wasn't prepared to give me any, but instead offered me £200 of free framing. An insult, to say the very least!!! Avoid this company at all cost. Mr Alcock will do, or say anything, to avoid paying out any compensation for their "Criminal" act of trying to cover up. I have a written statement from Simon Gillespie Studio, stating that my painting has lost 15% of it's value, for anyone to see! The owner will do/say anything to avoid compensation. A WARNING FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS!!! My legal team are dealing with the matter now!!!!!

I love Speedframe! Their service is awesome. I especially like the relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the shop too. They have been framing my artwork for a while now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I love their frames and their workmanship. I enjoy working with them on different ideas as their knowledge of framing is second to none. Thank you Speedframe :)

Tasha was excellent, she provided sound advice on what frame and surround would look best for a limited edition picture. She was very professional and I am truly happy with the Service she provided. On collection, I couldn't stop smiling, the end result was amazing and I left knowing I had a nicely framed picture. Defo Recommend. Thank you
