The Pizza Grill

Had to go here as Abbey Fisheries were out of sausages. First issue - they don't take cards, so had to go down the road to an ATM. Really? It's 2019, not 1980. 10 minutes later (they weren't busy) my 2 orders were boxed up, bagged, and brought to the counter with no opportunity to add salt & vinegar. The chips had a strange flavour (the oil they were cooked in?) and looked like they were a day old; the fish was small & thin (much smaller than Abbey or Mitchell's) and very limp - the batter wasn't crispy at all. Overall not very good. And to cap it all the guy serving (owner?) asked if I was a pensioner. I'm 50 and often get told I look younger so I don't know what his problem was but I thought it was very rude. In summary: poor quality fish & chips; lacking in basic facilities; strange owner. So taking all things into consideration I definitely won't be going back there again!

We called the other night and got parked very near the shop. Chips were soft in the middle but had a tough skin on them, not nice. We got a free onion ring that was nice and crispy but the onion was the outer skin so was like leather. People delivering for the shop came back and double parked on yellow lines and pavement, cars waiting for lights backed up and road was blocked - well done, shows you have common sense!!!

Had the special offer today of fish,chips + mushy peas, for £5 all cooked fresh really lovely especially enjoyed the fish. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Great value for money.

Sausage and chip's . Sausage cooked fresh but unfortunately only in oil what seemed like seconds, looked barely cooked. One bite of sausage absolutely awful had to leave. Chips soggy, and potato scollop not nice really dark brown. Used this place lots before never this bad. Really disappointing total waste of money unfortunately.

Ordered here a few times, and the food has always been fantastic. The chips are top quality and better than any others I've had in the area.

When we ordered here last time we received free cheesy chips. Not sure if it was intentional, but regardless, we enjoyed the freebies.

They were on just eat briefly but switched to their own app, which is just as easy to use.

Would reccomend this place, they are my new go to for all my pizza needs

Under new management, and no longer a fish and chip restaurant, they do a range of burgers, pizza, kebabs and chicken. The service is always friendly and having tried a range of their burgers I can say they are my favourites in Selby! Big juicy patties and a decent range of trimmings available. Highly recommended!

I ordered a pizza for the first time and definitely the last. I ordered three types and each was very salty. I really wanted a four cheese pizza, unfortunately what arrived looked terrible, there was only some ordinary cheese, it was not suitable for eating. I do not recommend.

Referring to your answer to my opinion, I want to tell you that every pizza ordered back then was salty and, as you can see in the photos, some of them were burned in the oven.

Started off well but quickly has gone downhill.

Today's order a calzone was missed off. Their excuse was "we are very busy, we cooked up but forgot to deliver it, we will deliver it to you in a maximum of 10 minutes"

Just under an hour later it finally arrives.

This isn't the first time things have been missing, or the order is just wrong like bbq chicken burgers with no bbq sauce etc.

I will not be ordering from here again. The decent food does not outweigh the horrible experience when different family members have to eat at different times.
