Papa Johns Pizza

DISGUSTING PIZZA AND RUDE STAFF! Avoid at all costs, this is the worst pizza delivery I have ever experienced. It took them an hour and a half to deliver a cold congealed pizza that was inedible. The staff and manager were rude and dismissive when I called to ask what was going on. The phone was hung up on me on 2 occasions when I was just trying to ask why it was taking so long. After I called to tell them that the first delivery was cold and disgusting, they sent a new pizza which also took ages and was also stale, cold and inedible when it arrived. Ended up throwing both pizzas in the bin. The way this shop is managed is a disgrace, the staff and manager are rude and incompetent. There are plenty of good pizza places in Worthing, avoid Pappa Johns at all costs!

This place used to be decent, but now the food and service are both awful.
The last time I ordered, I had to call 6 times to chase, and they had given my food to some random person near my house. (alledgedly) - My re-made food then arrived after midnight.

The next time (today) I had to phone 5 times, 4 calls were ignored and rang off, the 5th time I was lied to and told the food was already on its way. 40 minutes later it arrived, cold, missing a sauce, and inedible because the sausage had gone off and tainted the dough.

I threw it in the bin.

Go somewhere else.

Papa Jon's Worthing seems very badly run. Ordered a pizza online. No warning of wait i started chasing after an hour and half.
Was then told the wait was two hours now but had not been told of any delay while ordering. Over two and half hours food turned up cold and tough. Couldn't eat it. No refund or way of getting it online.
I won't take the risk again especially at the ludicrous prices.
So many other options.

I've always used Papa John's for my takeaway pizzas whilst living in Brighton. As I now live locally I was concerned about the amount of negative reviews, but decided to take a chance and I'm pleased to say that everything was as ordered. I ordered around 9pm and had my order in approximately 30 minutes. The delivery guy was friendly and even called ahead as he was having difficulty finding my property. The food was hot and tasty and I will definitely be ordering from them again.

If ZERO stars was an option….
This place has gone right down hill since under new management Absolutely appalling Should’ve read reviews before I ordered 1 hour and 40 minute wait… rang after 1 hour said it was one minute away then again after 20 minutes they said it would be another 5 minutes turned up 15 minutes after the last phone call pizza stone cold! Sent it back with the driver

Excellent food very nice and polite staff always happy and friendly will help if you've got allergies would recommend to anyone I ordered today excellent phone manner and piping hot food excellent thank you papa johns

Over an hour and a half for a pizza to be delivered. No contact from the shop for an update and when I phoned they just said sorry. No offer of compensation or even a free side or similar.

Definitely gone down in my estimation and will not be using them again.

Update: when the pizza finally arrived pizzas were stone cold.

This was the 2nd time ordering direct from Papa Johns and it was late both times and everything freezing cold. They also got our drink wrong. I have called and they said they would come collect the pizza and re-make it but we’re so hungry we have put it in the microwave which doesn’t taste great. £30 wasted! They said they would put £5 credit on our account. I won’t be ordering from there again. Pizza Hut is better
