I really like this place. No membership, just turn up with a tenner or so and feel welcome in small, diverse yoga sessions. I've enjoyed trying all the different classes. The teachers are consistently great. Very friendly, community feel.

I go while my son is in school and i'm on lunch usually round 12 1. I love this place because they have good books on meditation and Buddhism as well as some free events and yoga classes for a few pounds. I also tried the meditation class and it really did help i'm 28 years old and was made to feel very welcome. When your stressed or upset it's a nice place to go to think and be calm or do some nice exercise highly reccomended

What I love from this Centre is the sense of calm when you enter, the friendliness of the people and the fact that as soon as you start coming regularly, people recognise you and you feel part of a community.

For me this is very important as London can be quite isolating and lonely.

Wonderful centre. We run our Recovery Dharma meetings here and are always given a warm welcome and a beautiful room. I've also been here for yoga with Tony, who is encouraging and attentive. There are teas available in the kitchen area (dana encouraged, not demanded) and a range of classes and courses to choose from. It's a Buddhist Centre that manages to be both cheerful as well as peaceful. There is a real sense of sangha. Highly recommended.

I was quite disappointed by my experience of the centre. I arrived early for a mindfulness class on a cold winter’s day and I asked if I could wait inside for the class to start. I was told I couldn’t come inside and so had to wait outside. This struck me as quite a shame - a big warm building sitting nearly empty with its doors closed. I’d imagined this would be a welcoming space, similar to the Buddhist center in Bethnal Green, but in practice I found the culture here to be different.

I've been attending the Saturday meditation for a while either online or in person. I've always had a great experience, very nice people and experienced meditation leads. You will feel comfortable even if you are not Buddhist or a regular meditator.

Really nice Buddhist meditation place linked to the Triratna Buddhist movement. The teacher who taught us deeper meditation was lovely and I would definitely revisit.

Thanks to North London Buddhist Centre for making such a place open for people to develop inner calmness and inner peace with Buddhist mindfulness meditation.

I started a course & attended the first half before it was understandably stopped due to the initial COVID-19 lockdown. The second half of the course was never delivered. I have repeatedly made contact with the NLBC & the course organiser to request that I complete the course by joining for the end of an equivalent (zoom) meditation course. Despite agreement from the course organiser I wasn't sent the necessary zoom links to join & complete the course paid for. I contacted NLBC to ask for a partial refund & haven't received any response.

In response to the NLBC. I am surprised by your reply. I have corresponded with your volunteer Eileen, without difficulty, on multiple occasions by mail & text using the email & mobile phone number I gave to the centre when I paid for the course, I only gave you this email address. I didn't have any IT issues. Whenever I was told by Eileen that Pippa would call this didn't happen, when I was told by Pippa that Lorna would email pdf & audio course recordings this also did not happen. I check my junk folder daily to ensure important emails do not get missed. Yes, I was offered an alternative course but on the first occasion this was agreed the zoom link was sent 45 minutes after the workshop started, on subsequent occasions I wasn't added to the course lists & despite me, again, contacting your volunteers & course organiser the zoom links were never sent to me. Hence, my fair request for a partial refund.
