It is only £1 to enter, there is a little museum room and shop, they have toilets and a changing room for bathers.
We parked in the carpark across the road which was free but very small. There may have been more parking further up the hill but we didn't go up there.
There is a shop, toilets,a few parking spaces at the church or just across the road & not far from the small town.
Well worth a visit.
The staff were helpful and if you ask for the key you can visit the chapel above the well.
The small museum provide detailed information about the history of the site and about St. Winefride.
There's also a shop where you can buy religious and other souveniers.
The "safety barriers" around the pool did ruin the ambience
The well is believed to have healing powers and the site, a place of pilgrimage for 1300 years is known as the Lourdes of Wales.
The chapel was built over the well in 1490 and has a camber-beam roof and beautifully carved corbels.
It's said in 12th-century hagiography, Saint Winifred is a virgin martyr, beheaded by Caradoc, a local prince, after she spurned his advances. A spring rose from the ground at the spot where her head fell and she was later restored to life by her uncle, Saint Beuno. But true or not, or maybe even a slightly exaggerated tale of the healing properties of this spring water - Don't try this at home...
For the price of just £2 admission to see the well and enter this site of pilgrimage, coming away with a feeling of inner peace is worth every penny.
