Wonderful find, great choice of plants, very different from your normal commercial nurseries. Love the chaotic, random, cottage garden feel of the nursery in a glorious setting, could and did loose ourselves for a few hours. A tranquil place. Tea room was quaint and quirky, food sumptuous. Will definitely visit again.

The farm and cafe have had new management since sometime last year. The cafe has its own entry on Google Maps so I am describing the rest of it.

Unless things have changed in the month since I visited the nursery is a bit run down following the changes and the hard winter. However, it has charm and I found some interesting plants which are responding to TLC. It's charming and feels like a secret garden! There is an antique shop as well but the items I was interested in were unpriced so the cafe staff were unable to complete the sale on the owners.

So lots of promise but main attraction is the cafe for now!

Went today for my 60th Birthday, looked lovely online and I went by the good reviews but felt sadly let down.

The Afternoon Tea is expensive for what you get and although the staff are lovely was not happy to get clotted cream that was "off" and the owner tried to tell me that the cream was fresh in that day and no one else had complained.

The first pot was nice yet the second pot was not.

I felt the owner was arrogant and I hope she is happy as having my 60th Birthday spoilt - thank you so much.

Perhaps it was just a bad experience for us but I feel so let down and upset.

Coming here was very disappointing! A member of staff was unnecessarily rude.
I had recommended this place having visited a while ago with my family remembering a pleasant experience and we arrived with the intention to stay for a coffee. However, my friend and I were spoken to like children for almost walking into the staff area (which isn’t signed whatsoever.) They lady was unmistakably condescending and venomous in her conviction. It totally ruined our experience and we left afterwards having been made to feel very uncomfortable!

Superb, relaxing experience, and amazing collection of plants, and wait, there's more; the very nice café, in the plants...

This quirky delightful little old fashioned tearoom is hidden away from the bustle of Berkhampstead.
Perfect for winding down, taking a break or passing through the area.
Peaceful and relaxing.
Wonderful fresh homemade goodies on offer.
I enjoyed the delectable carrot cake with coconut so much I left with 2 more slices!
I now have a new bolt hole in between my shifts.

Looking for something different? This is the place! 👍🌸
