It's all opened up so no dodgy people can hide here which is good. It's great that it's open again. The centre is closed though but there are two portaloos instead. Unfortunately our fun and games were ruined by some 12 turning 13 year old boys who came in on bikes and started swearing at the kids. I did have a word and that stopped but they left some litter behind when they left. Shame they stopped the supervision and snacks etc though.

Enormous, FREE adventure playground, with masses of things to do and picnic tables for the grown-ups. Monday to Friday only, but a great time can be had for nothing beyond getting there. Even parking is free, a refreshing change. Climbing stuff, wooden castles, spinning thingy, playground stuff, water play, sandpits, football, basketball court, and a skate/bike park around the corner for older ones. This is a summer holiday must if you are local, or if you can get there by car.
EDIT: 2022 - the play park is now open 9:00 to 7:30pm (4:00pm in winter), 7 days a week, and is unsupervised.

Its okay. Wouldn't necessarily recommend it children below the age of 5 as the climbing frames are quite big. Luckily there is a little park area outside the gates, more suitable for the below 5s. But definitely a let down. Massive space they could do much more with for the little children. Probably won't go there very often.

Visited here today with my 4yr son. Upon arrival there was a large free car park!
There is a normal park with slides and swings and markings on the ground like hop scotch.
We then noticed there was another park to play in opposite it behind some trees etc.
There is 3 large wooden climbing frames for older children (see pictures), a large sand pit, swings and another mound to climb and slide.
The large frames are all in the shade but sand pit is not along with swings. My son really enjoyed the climbing but we did see 2 other children have horrible accidents falling from the frames so please take care.
A handful of picnic benches but take a rug if you want the shade.
Would definitely return for a play.

Summer 2022
Emptiest park ever been to during the summer holidays. Wooden frames and slides underneath trees so in shade all day. I say 5 years plus. Sandpit, swings, slide. 2 toliets.
Would be great if it had a splash area as well.

The tunnels that are underneath the hill in the middle, are blocked up not sure why. Not as bright or great as it was when it first opened. Not a ton of things to do, and there are porta potties, no proper bathroom/restroom areas.
