Do not use this company! They came out to my house to service my boiler and gas fire. I had to pop out to collect my children from school. I came back to find that my Climapro2 controller was mysteriously not working/broken and in fact appeared to have been dropped. Everybody that has looked at it has said 'it has been dropped'. Hamilton & Thurston deny all responsibility for this breakage. I bought a new controller which I hoped that Hamilton & Thurston would fit for me. 'Martine' was very unhelpful and told me that they were not prepared to come out and fit a new controller. Their own electrician was conveniently away (for 3 weeks!) She told me that I would have to find my own electrician. I am so disappointed with this company and I advise that you avoid them at all cost.

Had a boiler & expansion tank service with this company - having used them before for a previous service having a new build home they also installed our boiler.
After a couple of days after service we lost pressure in the boiler causing the boiler to stop working, so we phoned them and they told us over the phone what to do to restore the pressure, this worked BUT after a few days the pressure kept dropping again. So phone again they arrange for the guy to come back around to take a look - he believe it was a simple cleaning out 5 minutes job… after doing that few days later pressure still dropping… he returned again to take a look thinking it could be something else he said we may need a new part but he instead suggested to take old part off to revamp it, to which it was better but still loosing pressure at a slower rate. So he was booked to come round again with a new part, but after a few days we noticed the ceiling directly under the airing cupboard where he was banging and reviving parts serval days before was causing a leak that built up over the period of days that had caused very bad damaged to our living room ceiling, so husband covered up the leak and put bucket under until they came round and fixed it.
The plumber took full responsibility of the damage and took photos and was very apologetic and said he would speak to his director Rob, to arrange contact to sort our ceiling out.
After not hearing from them after several weeks I contacted them on numerous accessions where they said they will contact us… took a while… Rob eventually rang me and gave me a full lecture on “ins and outs” of workings of boilers which means absolutely nothing to me , it then lead to him saying that they will take no responsibility and something like this could happen anytime, so we are having to foot the bill for the repair of our ceiling ourselves. All I know there was nothing wrong with our boiler before there service was carried out after 4 years from new and I’m pretty confident it’s not just pure coincidence.
