Absolutely the worst plumbers we have ever used. The telephone staff are so rude and they don't turn up when promised. They turned up at 11-30 one night after phoning at 9-30 in the morning. They were booked through homeserve again today and still haven't turned up. We were promised between 12 and 5 .It's now 7 o'clock and have just been told they may get here in a couple of hours but they can't promise. This job was booked last week ! Also the girl in the office lied because she said men don't answer the phone. My husband spoke to a man yesterday and I spoke to Rob today to find out what was going on !

Brilliant service. Yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday) I had a plumbing emergency in that, when I flushed the Loo the effluence came up in the bath.

Eventually, after using £12.00 worth of sink unblockers, the bath, loo and sink stubbornly refused to drain so, HomeServe were contacted and responded immediately saying someone would be with us before 22:00.

A drainage guy from Woolco turned up at 21:45 and ascertained the problem was in the stack but, as it could not be fixed by 'plunging', we would have to have a plumber remove the loo in the AM (today).

The plumber (James Parry) turned up at the appointed time (09:15) and rapidly worked out that he could go into our loft and 'rod' the stack ... Sure enough, he cleared the blockage without having to remove the loo.

Well done, Homeserve, Woolco and especially James!

Despite waiting in on 4 occasions and my garden being dug up twice, not only do I still have a leak but I also now have a reduced water flow to my property. I feel it is only fair to give Woolco a chance to put matters right before I expound further, but I am very unhappy with their work and delays to date.

Bit of a panic this morning, a Sunday, with a blocked toilet, phoned our insurers about 11.00 am, then at 13.00 a gentleman named Shaun from Woolco (UK ) Ltd knocked on our door, and it was fixed within one hour and everything back to normal, Thank you Shaun and than you Woolco (UK ) Ltd. Excellent service.

Dean telephoned to say he would be with us within an hour and he was . Within minutes he located a manhole that must have been buried for 29/30 years— once the soil and plants were removed from the area and the cover removed it was obvious where the blockage was . No amount of rodding under the other cover would have removed the problem . Thank you Dean .

When you read this review, bear in mind Woolco advertise "24/7 emergency" response. They were subcontracted by our insurers Homeserve, after a leak detection visit by Polygon complete with infrared imaging, to repair our heating system today. The job is to replace and braze a leaking T-Junction under the floor which has downed our entire heating system. The appointment was for today. We started getting worried when they hadn't arrived by lunchtime. An engineer arrived this afternoon at about 3 and the plumber (who fully knew it was under concrete) told us he wasn't able to repair it because he couldn't use a Kango, and had to rush off to another appointment. Bear in mind this is a so-called emergency contractor who were booked in 2 days ago by Homeserve and provided with a survey stating that the pipe position was marked with yellow chalk on the concrete floor and they are now telling us they can only fix it in 4 days time on Monday. Why he even came out is beyond me. Total elapsed time is so far 6 days. If you have an emergency, it may be quicker to enrol in a plumbing course and do it yourself. So far we've had 2 weeks without heating or hot water in January in East Anglia with record low temperatures, and we have a young child. One star for finding our address.

Had Woolco come out on behalf of Homeserve for block external drain. Tony arrived at the time slot I selected, called ahead and was polite/professional. Cleared the issue with drain, done a cctv check and then some advice how to prevent in future. All round a good job.
