A & B Plumbing & Drainage

Having tried a local plumber, who failed to un-block our toilet down pipe, we called A & B Plumbing, who responded within a couple of hours. Their engineer was both polite and highly trained, and quickly managed to free the blockage, and I would recommend them again and use them again

Blocked drains - called early this morning and given a 10am-12pm time slot, Joe turned up at 10.30 :) All cleared, Joe told me what he was going to do before he started and explained afterwards what we could do to investigate further if we wanted to. Andy and Joe both curteous and polite, will definitely use again.

Andy came within 30minutes of the phone call on a Saturday to attend to a blocked sewage drain. I’m so glad I found him, because it was an emergency and the few people I tried would either only be able to attend more than 48 hours later or they made me feel like they were taking advantage of my situation and wanted to charge over the odds.

Not only did Andy unblock the drain, but he sorted the issue out so that it wouldn’t happen again.

I’m glad to now have his details saved in my phone, and glad I know have a “go to” guy when it comes to plumbing and drainage issues.

Excellent service. We had an overflowing manhole in our front garden. Phoned them at 18:00 today (during Covid-19 lockdown) and he turned up at 18:35. Everything was fixed and thoroughly cleaned within 30 min. Flat rate was very reasonable at £144 for such an emergency.

Asked them to unblock a drain, they turned up without a camera so had a look, jetted the drain and came back another day (charging two call out charges). Second day, camera inspection, found roots. Dug out the drain and removed the roots which took one guy a few hours. Charged us £880. We are busy parents with a small child, didn't think hard enough about what we were getting charged but looking back I think we got ripped off.

We needed a plumber to do a quick job due to having other works done. Came out on the day we called, very polite and friendly and did the job requested quickly and professionally. Would definitely use them again should we need to and would recommend to anyone looking for a plumber

I have called A & B Plumbing & Drainage in two occasions. One for a block toilet a few weeks ago and today for a blocked pipe. In both occasions the response so fast, they came within 2 hours. Very professional and friendly. They solved the problems quickly. I highly recommend this company. I will certainly use them again whenever I have more plumbing requirements

Called out for a boiler repair quote as we wasn't sure what the problem was and if it was economical to repair or just replace. Contacted A&B plumbing as they offer free quotes according to the advert and website. Arrived promptly but said that there was a charge of £50 to "have a look". Maybe he saw me as vulnerable and tried to push his luck. I probably would have used these guys but I decided they're not honest. Lost a £2,000+ job for trying to rip me off for £50. I'm being generous with a 2 star!
