What a fantastic, professional, well priced and efficient company Alistair Thorpe are. Highly recommend, I have good reason to say this.......

After contacting 4 local plumbers, only receiving two responses. I was told the expansion vessel needed replaced, however one company wanted to almost dismantle my house, whilst the other just kept telling me they would call back as they were busy at the moment. Both were pushing to have me replace the entire boiler.

I was running out of time with a winter holiday approaching and a boiler that needed daily attention to keep working. I then reached out to Alistair Thorpe (who are slightly further away from me). The first call showed the professionalism, I was listened to as I explained the issue and what the other two plumbers had found. Immediately I was asked for the details of my boiler so they could pre-order the expansion vessel. Then given an appointment within the week.

On the day of the appointment the well known issue with the O2 network hit (my phone is O2), however when the engineer struggled to find my house (it is not easy to find) and could not get me on the phone, he went to nearby houses and asked as opposed to using it as an excuse.

Once here he confirmed it was definitely the expansion vessel. Within a matter of hours the system was fully functional again with the pre-ordered vessel. He left leaving no mess or trace he had been here, other than the fact the boiler was working obviously!!!!

I will unquestionably be going straight back to them for any future work.

I couldn't be happier with the service offered. We had a burst pipe and someone was around in 15-20min. Access was difficult but the engineer tried his utmost to avoid a bathroom renovation and succeeded in enlarging the access hatch. He had to squeeze through and make his way to the pipe. "Tricky but doable." was the comment The actual fix was done fast and prevention advice was given as well. A job well done! A VERY happy customer.

Alistair Thorpe Plumbing and Heating provided an excellent service, above and beyond the call of duty, late on Friday afternoon, to fix a burst pipe caused by the recent freezing temperatures that was gushing water into the kitchen. From the office staff to the engineer who kindly took on the emergency job, everyone was extremely helpful, professional and efficient. The costs were very reasonable and we could not have wished for a better service. We are very glad we found this company and highly recommend it!

Called out to estimate work for boiler replacement didn't bother to quote despite a courteous prompt. That's just rude in my view. Update - following this review I received a quote about 9 days after the initial visit, needless to say the work was not awarded to this firm.

Professional, friendly service. Someone came and quoted for a job but was more expensive than another company otherwise would have been happy to employ.

Asked to come out to look at our boiler, could not fix and told us to contact Worcester, then charged £69 for a call out charge even though the engineer was only here 20 minutes. Wont be using them again or recommending them to anyone else
