Visited this shop to purchase a Hearth on a Saturday aft. (Well before the compulsory Welsh match viewing time!!) The guy who served us (could have been the owner..who knows?)... couldn't have been any ruder if he'd tried.

The hearth wasn't in perfect condition and when I pointed the default out he couldn't wait to get back to the office to watch the TV!! absolutely no customer service politeness whatsoever!! ..

We simply walked away without a purchase and I don't even think he noticed.

Won't bother them again. ☹

New bathroom, laundry room and kitchen arranged through Paul at Rainbow. Totally honest service, the fitters they use are absolutely brilliant and additional work that I wanted like extra sockets and installation of lighting was completed at very reasonable price.Will be visiting again shortly to buy a fire.

I have just rung this shop for advice on a gas fire and i'm shocked at how rude the man was! Patronising, condescending and downright vile! Probably because I'm a woman i can't possibly understand such technical words such as knob and coals! Even if they had exactly what i was looking for i wouldn't buy anything from them!

I was due to have my bathroom and ensuite done with this company about six months ago.
I was told the Fitter, DAVE GRIFFITHS, would be in touch to come and measure up. After three weeks, nothing. So asked the Owner, Paul, to chase him up.
After another few weeks, I received an abrupt text from Dave telling me he'd be down the following Saturday. I asked him for a rough idea of what time it'd be, to which he didn't respond.
Fast forward to the Saturday morning. I tried calling Dave. He didn't answer so I text him asking if he was still able to make it. No response and, needless to say, I waited in all day but he never showed.
I complained to Paul, on the Monday, the received a call from Dave who gave me an alternative date, in a fortnight's time. No apology or explanation as the what went on, that Saturday.
Dave came finally. An odd character. I had doubts about how comfortable I'd be having him in my house for the fortnight the work would take but my Husband convinced me that, we'd come this far now, may as well press on.
The next step was, unfortunately, just as much of a nightmare. Waiting for a date, for work to start, went on for weeks and weeks. Dave never answered him phone or texts.
I must stress that throughout this process, I remained polite, courteous and patient. Mindful that perhaps Dave had something going on in his personal life, which might explain his unprofessionalism. I was also keen not to create hostilities and to ensure he did a good job for us if we ever got to that point.
Eventually, I called Paul and told him I couldn't take much more of this. I'd need a fitting date or please give my deposit back. He came back with a date about four weeks down the line. He told be that Dave would be in touch to give us measurements for a window that he would be cutting but we would be providing.
We got to a week before the fitting Date and still had no info. I text Dave asking, please could he let us know ASAP to make sure we had it ready for him - nothing back.
Now a few days before fitting, I'm starting to get really annoyed. How can we get this long awaited work done if we haven't got the window ready? Dave wasnt answering this phone so I text him asking, please can he give us the measurements as we're only a few days from the fitting Date. This time I got a horrid response saying, "I DID NOT tell Paul I'd be starting the work next week!"
By now, I'm at the end of my tether, asked him what the hell? And if this was the case, why could he have just responded to my texts and told me this sooner? The response I got was along the lines of, he'd been away and has far better things things to do than looking at his phone. I pointed out that it takes two minutes to send a text and got a barrage of abuse, and, "find another Fitter."
Dave Griffiths, Carpenter from Pontygwaith area is vile! Please avoid him like the plague.
The distress he's caused me and my family is incredible.
Got our deposit back from Rainbow but little regard, from them, for what we went through. I understand they're closing down now. Its not had to see what's gone wrong.
