Brixton Police Station

My place is under this police station's jurisdiction. My house is a ground-floor flat and there's been 3 burglary attempts and 1 successful burglary took place. Made a report every time. Although I feel extremly unsafe, they just drop the case even when there's undeniable evidence they can pursue (transactions details of my card usage by the burglar). They always come around and leave after giving meaningless anti-burglary advice... I have a decent job, pay a great sum in tax every year and these guys make me feel like what I pay in tax is just money down the drain.

I went last year in January/February to report a crime, I spoke with a very friendly police officer who was very attentive to everything I had to say. He apologised that the case had to be closed but assured me that if it occurred again I could call him to report it. He was very friendly and generally a nice person he left a very memorable impression.

Worst experience a decent human being can have. Totally partial, biased, no one seems to take any responsibility for anything or help you access the information you desperately needs . I was DENIED SOLICITOR even though that’s the first thing I ask for when I VOLUNTEERED myself to go there and ended up in prison for two weeks because I didn’t know how to put forward and defend my case. Now I am fighting that case against Brixton police station misconduct in court although they tried their best to talk me out of it.
I never ever thought that police can have such prejudice, dismissiveness, lack of fundamental human courtesy, disregard, rude and cold! Sad to say that experience with them changed my mind about Met Police and lost all the respect for them.

I will update this review after the outcome of court case against them.

Further found out very recently that one of the officer from Brixton police station has had affair with my ex and hence he done all this.

He’s being investigated in the light of undeniable proof I have given to the court of law.

Once I get the decision I shall update.

Why do they not ever pick up the phone? Is there a reason for this? I’ve been trying to get hold of the police station all week! Is there another phone number I can use!!!!

Only 1 "officer" working the desk at any time, expect long waiting times if any other person decides to be there at the same time as you.

Bad service 4 police man in the station and only 1 is working 🙄

CAN YOU PLEASE STOP LEAVING DOGS OUTSIDE IN COURTYARD AT NIGHT. I live next door and constantly hear distressed and terrified dogs barking for up to 12 hours at night/into the day. It wakes my dogs, makes them bark, it wakes me up and I have a terrible day at work. It is cruel and inconsiderate. PLEASE come up with a better solution once a dog has been found or a prisoner has been jailed with a dog in their possession. It is utterly ridiculous and exasperating, especially when you never answer the phone when I try calling each time. If it were a residential home I’d call the police. What do you do when you need to call the police, on the police? I beg you to find a better alternative.

I had to write to an embassy first... they will never pick up a phone in this country and will give you an electric shock in your ear when you phone police in the UK. Mostly not British employees work there.
