Gosport Post Office

I used the post office yesterday for the first time since it moved over the road.
Needed advice about posting a parcel. The lady was very helpful and friendly.
I also bought a few things and found the man on the counter friendly.
5 stars from me

Good service and helpful staff. Avoid around 3ish tho as they have to pick up their children from school which leaves them understaffed.

Really helpful lady and gentlemen, who helped us with a Driving Licence renewal.

Wouldn’t even bother useing this post office they make out they have sent your mail when they haven’t!! Would NOT recommend at all!

Normally dont have any problems here, however today the guy at the front desk was not helpful at all.

I do a lot of posting online and normally drop the parcels to here, to which they are scanned and a receipt is given to assure me they were accepted here.

Today when i asked for receipts, the man refused point blank, and said we dont offer receipts as you used online service. As much as i appreciate i did it online, a receipt from in store puts me at rest to know the parcels have been taken in and i then picture them to the customer for whom the parcels are going.

Weirdly, he then scanned 2 of them and accepted them, before telling me to leave as i was then being rude, to which i did and went to another local post office.. bizarrely, without me asking, they scanned all of my remaining parcels and issued me receipts for each one.. all without me asking.. really wasnt hard was it?

Anyway i wont be using this branch now due to this scenario, what could of been done in 1 or 2 minutes and used 50cm of till receipt resulted in losing a customer.

Went to this post office for the very first time today as I was on holiday and needed to post a very large item back home. Was very impressed with how helpful and friendly the man was that served us. No hesitation in going back there. Thank you!

Go to deliver parcels only to be told by the lady ' why have you put stamps on , we don't make money when you do that' ... Ermmmmmm I bought the stamps from you!
My job isn't to help you ' make money ' my job is to post the parcels to the people that have paid money for their items!.

Will never use again ... Attitude is appalling. If 0 stars was an option then I would of hit that.

I've not been to this post office before but I was impressed with the polite and efficient level of service. I don't normally do reviews but I wanted to put on record how helpful the gentleman was who served me.
