Highwoods Post Office

All the staff here are really friendly and helpful. We are really lucky to have a good Post Office branch ‘with parking’ so close to hand.
Could be a case of ‘behaviour breeds behaviour’ where people have said the staff are grumpy? I personally have never experienced anything other than pleasant, helpful and efficient service. 😊

Interesting to see some of the comments complaining the female staff being rude. And I strongly agreed, not sure if she is still working. Overall the post office is nice clean and not many people inside but I normally go to the post office in town (avoid that lady).

I have been using Highwoods Post Office for nearly two years now and have always been more than happy with their service. They provide a quick and friendly service to all. They are a busy little post office. Keep up the great work!!

Now that the Post Office in Prettygate has closed :-( Highwoods is now my favourite Post Office in Colchester. Went there today (Friday 29th July 22) and the female assistant at the counter couldn't have been more helpful - not her fault that a small 800g parcel cost over £13 to get to London tomorrow. They were also well stocked with wrapping, stationery etc. Will definitely go there from now on - who wants to go into a dirty, busy town centre and pay too much for parking etc etc?! Highly recommended.

I deliberately visited Highwoods PO this morning because the parcel I was hoping to send was rather large and one Courier had wanted ny son's Tax ID code in US. No way! I also thought the package size was over Royal Mail limit. Would Highwoods PO be able to assist? Yes, of course. That is where you go for informed, excellent customer service. Though I live in Central Colchester, I am always happy to journey up to Highwoods deliberately to have whatever I am sending get off to a good start. The staff are patient and well informed. Thank you, Highwoods PO for getting it right again!

Very helpful ladies on duty. Full range of postal services on offer. Able to post a package to deepest darkest Peru to an uncle of mine. He just loves marmalade sandwiches.

They choose the periods when they open and close, the opening hours are not the same as it says.
Who is going to pay for my time for keep trying until i can send a letter?
I ask nicely one of the female workers why is it closed when they should be open and she is being rude to me. Someone explain this?
