I only use this post office when I have no other alternative. Often very long wait time and closed early due to lack of staff. Some staff are polite but a chosen few are obnoxious to customers and I’ve seen the manager openly shouting at frustrated customers. It must be a very difficult place to work. The staff need support from the post office.
On my last visit the queue was okay at 20min with one person serving but all three self service machines were broken.

This is the worst post office. The queues are always a joke and they have 1 member of staff. They turn off all the self serve machines because they need a member of staff to operate which takes away the whole point of using them. Absolutely disgusting customer service. This place needs shutting down

Absolutely shocking service. Waiting times are ridiculously excessive and when you finally get served the staff are rude and unhelpful. I went to use the bureau de change facility and was told it would be easier to do the transaction as a cash withdrawal as she didn’t want the “hassle of taking my details and passport”. The card reader wouldn’t accept my card and I was told my card was “no good. Go and get some cash out and come back.” You seriously think I was going to do that and then come back and queue again for another ridiculous amount of time and then be forced to endure the rudeness again?

Really poor staff management as was told the branch was closing 4 hours early every day due to 4 staff vacancies.. Management need to better manage staffing levels offering incentives such as overtime for pay and a half to meet customer demand.

Also staff that were working let people join the queue and queue for over an hour only to still be in the queue when they "closed" at 1pm. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.

Since the PO moved into the WH Smith store from its own building, the service and queues have worsened. Always long queues, often trailing down the high street. Very often only one member of staff serving. Very poor and very slow service and always closing early due to lack of staff. A lot of the staff are very obnoxious, very little motivation or care for customer service, especially the security guard. I never use this branch unless really necessary. It needs a big shake up and employ more staff that are more customer focused. I had to select a star to write this review, but based on my experience it deservrs none.

I went there to just pick a parcel. The queue was extremely long and only one person was working. I was waiting for 1 hour in order to collect my parcel. I really hope that this was just an exceptional experience and that it’s not always the case.

Came in at 16:30 and waited 30 minutes in the queue. The manager came out and told us that all of us (10 people) would not be served as they close at 5pm. She didn't even apologise for wasting everyone's time, one lady was working hard at the till alone. Her older colleague was more concerned about moving boxes than helping the 10 people in the queue. The manager could have come out of the office and helped the lone staff but she was clearly more interested in sitting in the office watching love island.

The worst post office and never improve. Always long queue whichever the day or the time. On a working day during lunch time, only 1 staff working, imagine ppl come during lunch break. This is the situation since forever. What’s the point to open 5 counter and only 1 staff and self service is useless as no staff to help?! Royal Mail should go bankrupt and been taken by more efficient company. It’s 21st century, posting one letter have to take more than 20 min to queue is an entirely joke!!!!
