Green Wrythe Post Office

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This is my local post office but I go to the one at rosehill instead most of the time and try to avoid this one. The lady is so rude and is always trying to charge obscene amounts for delivery of items that should cost no more than a few pounds. I'm convinced half these positive reviews are fake because it doesnt matter who i speak to who uses that post office they all say how nasty and rude the staff are. I went in there today and the customer infront of me was having an awful time trying to simply change her mailing address. When i was next i asked for a 1st class stamp and she proceeded to try charge me £3-4 for special delivery of a letter that just needed a stamp. She wouldnt just give me a stamp! Saying it has a 2nd class delivery stamp already on it which i knew but wanted to change. She wouldnt serve me. My mum once tried to send my sister some asthma pumps to america she checked out all the rules and followed the guidlines for shipping abroad during covid and the woman at the post office was so rude and refused to send it saying its against the rules to ship meds abroad . My mum argued but had to leave. We went to the post office at rosehill and they put the parcel straight through and said basically the woman at circle post office was talking BS!! This is only a few experiences of myself and friends and family. I never write reviews and i really am the last person to complain usually but i am just so fed up of not being able to use a post office local to me like every other postcode can. Is it really so hard just to be kind, god knows the world can be hard enough as is without these little battles.

Had to pick up a parcel which was delivered directly to them. Showed my email notification and my Company Photo ID with name printed on. The woman insisted on having written ID - why? The address on the package was addressed to them! I will never go back there despite this being my local post office. Rather travel to Rosehill or Sutton.

The most friendly, well run post office I have ever been in! The staff could not do more to help and are always there with a smile no matter what is going on for them. The staff genuinely care and have built relationships with many local residents over the years. I for one have been going in there since a child as have most of my family members. You are doing a fantastic job guys. Thank you for always going above and beyond .

Excellent service and knowledge.
I travel from Banstead especially for the service. So far my driving licence and passport.
The last time I visited for my passport renewal, the lady left her lunch to serve me as she knew I had travelled to see her. Sorry I have no names. You know who you are!.
I will continue to travel to this PO. Marvellous!

Can't trust the website times as it seems this post office is never open when it says it it

I had return package for ebay and on the label i was provided the weight was from 10 to 20kg. I was told it was to heavy after we weighted it, i asked what was the weight she replied above 20 i asked again... She replied it is 20.300. I asked if i took out some of the unnecessary weight from the box to make it 20. She was cooperative and refused, saying it is above 20 and she can't accept it... I plead again, but she refused saying it is to heavy and need two ppl to carry it. So i took it back by myself back to the car... Very upsetting experience, very disappointed with the service.

Parking is not easy here. I managed to find one space round the back in Assembly Road. Two very friendly, helpful and efficient ladies served me. Renewed my driving license in less than ten minutes. I drove to this post office rather than walk to my local one in Sutton (inside WHSmith), as it had terrible reviews here.

The lady who works here is extremely rude. It seems she's miserable with her job and liked making others miserable.
Will not be going to this post office again!

On previous occasions I was served by a man who was very friendly but seeing the womans attitude I will be going to a different branch from now on.
