I have had the same problems as other people have complained. I sent a parcel and he insisted on sending first class, I asked for 2nd class and emphasized cheapest he charged me a lot of money, I just paid as I was in a rush and when I came home the receipt said first class. It happened again yesterday, I sent my partner to post a parcel and asked him for second class, he again tried to insist first class and told him advantages but my partner said no the cheapest . He unfortunately did not check the receipt and when he came home, I checked the receipt because it seemed very expensive it was for first class. I will report this matter to royal mail

Very very slow. Polite people but seem to chat to each other. However the public should be more organised while they queue also as your be there at least 30 minutes waiting

I've always had a pleasant experience at this post office and I find the man who runs it very friendly and helpful, if the PO isn't busy we always have short friendly chat :-).

The elderly gentleman at this post office is the most pathetic person I have honestly met in my whole career. I am a motor trader, and went to this this post office to apply for a logbok (V62) upon arrival on the counter he refused to process my form because I had printed the second page (second page consists of how to complete the form and what fees etc would need to be paid and postal address) I explained to the gentlemen that I am a motor trader and have been applying for V5s without the second page as it’s no use and it waste of ink and paper. He then goes to tell me “ that I can’t tell him about his job and he knows best.

I was shocked at his manor of speech and attitude and told him that the second page his crying about has no use to him or me as all relevant information he needs to process the application is their in his hand, and has been completed with no error.

Now I don’t know if it’s because I’m south Asian to and he thought he could talk to me or belittle me in front customers, but I told him to go “stick the application where the sun don’t shine” and left.

A very incompetent member of the Post Office sector.

And to be located in such a prestigious part of North London and be running this scam of a service. Absolutely disgusting.

Shame to the south Asian community!

Refused to take a parcel which had valid code. Took down the road no problem. Gave nonsense reason that I had a qr code error? Which the nearest other PO had no problem. Since change of ownership gone downhill. Avoid

A quiet post office with not much inside. I think 80% of its stock is cards . So you could say they double up as a card shop . Staff friendly and polite and helpful.

I was posting back an expired passport to the Home Office on 9th Feb. I asked for Signed For 1st Class delivery but noticed that the gentleman was going to attach a Special Delivery sticker on it. I said that I did not ask for SD service, and he started to tell more why I should use SD service. I still said no, and he reluctantly changed the service to Signed For. I have just checked the tracking and see that my post hasn't been delivered yet. Looking at the receipt, I can see that he has overcharged me by 44p as I have sent the passport in a standard envelope and I should have been charged for "Letter", but I have been charged for a "Large Letter".

Forty-four pence will not make me poorer or richer, but I also don't like to be rubbed. I believe in karma, and I love to see how he feels when he gets rubbed by someone else.

I will start using the Palmers Green post Office going forward.

It seems like this Post Office is still trying to pressure customers into buying higher priced services they don't require. My wife - a recent arrival to the UK who is not familiar with the types of postal options - just went in and asked to send her letter by 1st class post as I had told her. The man serving told her he was charging her for the Guaranteed service at £6.85. Confused, my wife said that was expensive. So he then charged her for the Signed for service at £2.25. Again, confused, she simply accepted this. All she had asked for was 1st class post. Why did he feel the need to suggest and pressure her into getting a service more than what she had requested and asked for?
