North Finchley Post Office

The only benefit of this place is a lady who sell postal cards and any other stuff, she is European and very polite and helpful ( I am not sure but I think her name is Gemma no matter what her name is, she is a hidden gym in this place) I have no idea why the other staffs feel a heavy burden to even answer the questions or guide the people. I think they are working here by force lol 😆

The staff in this branch are probably the rudest, most miserable and uncaring people I’ve ever met in my life. Even the cleaner has no manners. I’ve never had an issue with the actual items I’ve posted, which is where the two stars come from, but the customer service is genuinely appalling.

South Asian run post office. The most obnoxious and abysmal place to visit. Do not visit if you have depressive tendencies, or will depart premises feeling suicidal. Totally go out of their way to make life as difficult as possible. As though it were a competition to see which staff member could be the most rude and unhelpful. The staff do not want to serve. Body language portrays them feeling they are doing the customer a favour by just being present.
Today there was a long queue. The old, tired looking Pakistan/Indian woman just let a South Asian man jump the queue! Why did she not say to him to get in line? There was only one queue for counters? What was the special needs for this man almost half my age?
Zero manners from staff at counters, cleaning staff, and quite clearly members of the public who think it's alright to push in.
I go there only as this is the only postal office in close proximity, and only if absolutely necessary.

What is it with post offices being so terribly run! I have gone here twice for returning an amazon parcel and they always said they are at capacity and wouldn't take the parcel on the day....even when going there first thing in the morning at 9am! I have tried calling them tens of times in this past few days to see which day I could go to drop the parcel and no one picks up. Such terrible service. My mistake for choosing this post office as my return location. Even 1 star is too much.

Got to the post office at about 5.15 to a large queue. I asked an assistant for some blueys for a school project. It was very busy and they bent over backwards to accommodate my needs for a school writing project and were very friendly in doing so. Thank you, I’ll be back!

I don’t like to make complaints,but I would like to complain about two members of staff who supposed to be “customer advisors”. The first one ignored my question because she couldn’t calculate numbers in her head and I was obviously disturbing her. She asked me to “go to the other 3 members of staff at the till”. The second one at the till , she asked me to read the news online because I was not aware that Royal Mail has stopped sending letters overseas. If someone doesn’t enjoy working with customers, he/she would change job. Simple.

honestly, i would give 0 stars if i could. my mother has had very bad experiences with the older lady working there. for me personally though, the younger lady working at till 4 ruins my day every time i see her. she constantly complains to her coworkers WHILE I AM RIGHT THERE. she keeps trying to scam me by telling me the packages should be signed for when i literally always tell her i dont want that. she crosses out addresses too. shes unhelpful, unpleasant, and downright rude. avoid this post office at all costs. theres another post office down in friern barnet. go to that one if you have the choice because the people working in this branch are awful. period. 👰🏻‍♂️☝️

I post a lot of packages and visit this post office at least 3 times a week. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff, they are all friendly and welcoming and have been a great help!
