It was a very weird and mixed experience for myself. Owner was initially nice to my son. But I left feeling hurt. Was in there with a pushchair and pregnant, made to go round 3 times and re queue because I had to pick up a plastic envelope, then re queued to be told to use a shelf to write on the envelope and they refused for me to just stand at the till and quickly write the address, so had to re queue again. My son wasn't standing still and being 2 years old he started to run around so had to manage a pushchair and make sure he didn't run into people. Would be far far more simple to do everything in one go. Felt a bit humiliating and I know all other post offices I have been into allow to stand and write without re queuing. Then when I finally did it I handed the package to the owner so I could pay, who then made a sarcastic comment about how he had to seal it. I wanted to say, I'm glad this is the biggest inconvenience of your day. I'm a mental health nurse and have to manage an array of very difficult and emotional situations every day. Paul, I think a lot of these reviews should ring bells and maybe customer service training would go down a treat. The only saving grace was the lady who helped me find something, she actually showed some compassion and just got on with her job. You seriously need to think why you are in customer service

I think a lot of these reviewers may potentially be against certain ethnicities as the man who works in this post office is quite friendly and helpful.

The woman on the other hand, not so much, she comes across that she's attempting to try and be friendly, but just ends up as condescending

I've noticed that when I take in parcels to send off, out comes the tape measure. This never happens at any other post office and I've never seen her do it to any other customers' parcels, but with mine, out comes the tape measure

And for those complaining about the signs about not using your phone whilst being served, it's called common decency! Your phone is not the be all and end all of everything and it's quite ignorant to use your phone whilst you are being served!

Plus without using your phone, you can actually pay attention to important things that the staff may be telling you about what you are buying/posting

Won't be getting my service again.
As this is my nearest post office I went to claim my energy voucher , first he tried telling I couldn't use there (even tho it says only usable at post offices), then he refused to do as it was in email form and not on paper, all he had to do was scan the bar code (again said this on the email) so in further I'd rather walk a little further to a post office that will actually be polite and helpful

Ideally I didnt want to give a star but I couldn't post my review without clicking on a star

This shop is an absolute disgrace to the post office organisation. The shop should be stripped of all postal duties. Which is the only reason it has any footfall.

The owner is an absolute imbisle. A a horrible, horrible man. Who has no respect for his customers. Customer service is non-existent!

Reviews do not lie. The owner clearly doesn't care about his or the shops reputation. This must be the worst rated post office/shop in the country.

If I could leave zero stars I would. And even then it would be too much!

Came last week with a parcel, which is an item that I post on almost a daily basis as I sell them on eBay. I asked to post it as a large letter and the man said it was a small parcel. All other post offices I've used have pushed it through a sizing guide to establish the size and have always posted it as a large letter. I explained this to him but he said he wouldn't post it as a large letter, which I assume is because it is the cheaper of the two. I then told him I'd just post it at my usual post office instead and left. I felt the customer service was poor and the way in which it was explained was really rude and patronising. Will definitely use my usual post office instead! I only came here as I was driving past.
