I have used the post office a few times, I haven’t yet seen the lady behind the counter smile, customer service leaves a lotto be desired. My husband took a parcel into today, to be greeted by a grumpy it’s 10 to 3 (close at 3) it’s cash only. The young man in there is very polite.

We used this post office as its very handy to be able to park outside. Earlier this week we took several parcels for posting, my husband took the parcels in and said the woman behind the counter seemed very stressed. So parcels posted, the next day we took a few more parcels for posting, not once were we asked the value of the contents of the parcels, which we have now been informed is an important part of what you pay for postage. Mid week, the parcel van delivery knocked at our door with a parcel, bit odd as we werent expecting anything...but it was one of our parcels that had been sent a couple of days ealier...in her rush she put the postage label next to the return address...which clearly states return, so i rang the post office, spoke to a very polite chap, who explained this can sometimes happen. Ok just a one off. Until today, when another of our parcels was returned to us, so time to get the car out and return to Haydn Lane and explain all over again.
Will not be returning...unless of course another parcel ends up back at our door!!! Not impressed...it doesn't matter how busy you are or how big the queue is, you are paying for a service and on this occasion Haydn Rd did not live up to that.

The young chap in the post office is great, has good customer service skills and extremely helpful however the women that works behind the Post office counter is rude and unhelpful. I'll go elsewhere in future.

It is a post office, so I could do what I needed to do, however the service wasn't at the level I would I expect. Would use again if I was desperate. The cash point is handy though.

It's a shame as I used to go in regularly and it's important to use the local post office, but from now on will go out of my way to use others. Recently only used it when I have no other choice as the woman behind the counter is so rude and always grumpy, it's like you're an inconvenience and she seems constantly stressed. Both my husband and myself have found the same, whenever you ask anything you get snapped at, sighed at or made to feel like you should know the answer already. There's no harm in service with a smile!! A little bit of politeness goes a long way. No need for rudeness.

I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at Hayden Lane Post office, especially Tracey and Joe! I have posted a review on another site which I was told did not have any weight unless it was done on Google! “So here goes” Every time I visit Hayden Lane Post office I am always greeted with a smile and they ALWAYS go above and beyond for me. I understand that people have bad days, we all have. However I have seen them rearrange stock and move in heavy equipment working extra hours and on their days off to ensure the success of the day to day running of the business. I truly hope the owners of the business read this and are truly grateful to have such dedicated staff like Tracy and Joe! I hope they both know how valued they are for people like me and that their efforts are not going unnoticed “Thank You”

The 3 stars are for the young man who served me, he looked petrified as he had to ask the miserable woman behind the counter a question, poor lad. I also asked her a question and got the usual rude and abrupt response that I’ve had from her on a number of occasions, you just being there is a total inconvenience for her. Why does she work in customer service when clearly that is not her skill!
