Dunkirk Post Office

Post office is quite often closed at 6pm, when they advertise as being open till 10pm. However i gave them two stars as they are usually contactable on the phone, so i can ask if they are open or not before i set off.

Excellent service earlier today; the staff member helping me was very polite, checked the size and weight of my items carefully and even prompted me about proof of postage. At other post office branches I usually have to ask for all the above (typically after an attempt is made to overcharge me) to ensure I’m charged correctly. I’ll happily use the Dunkirk branch again.

I have to agree with the reviews. Some of the staff have not got a clue about the postal times/collections and the actual service of posting parcels. One guy was trying to get me to go somewhere else because he wasn’t sure what he was doing.The service was rubbish around Christmas too, drivers didn't come at the right times to collect parcels even though I was told they would. There is no such thing as en express24 service. Save your money and time and go some where else where its reliable and better customer service and that includes no miserable staff either. Yes we notice the difference! It shouldn't be a post office when there is a lack of training, sloppy and miserable staff!

Staff were fast and efficient in getting stuff done. I was a bit put off because there was a queue but I was seen to in less than a minute. Good little local post office.

Service was good. Staff wasn't particularly friendly but at least I got my letters mailed out. The shop is rather small and would be cramped during peak hours.

Absolutely rude staff, little man with receding hair line refused service even though we got there ten mins before closing and only had a letter to post. He then raised his voice at us and was very condescending.

Always polite and speedy when open but twice now in so many weeks post office has been closed during advertised opening hours. As usual covid is offered as an excuse for poor service. Suggest either update advertised opening times or resume normal service. Either way i'm goimg to switch to a different post office because I can't be bothered with the tomfoolery anymore.

I went to collect a parcel that was addressed to a person at my address . They refused to hand it over with address ID. They clearly don't understand the royal mail rules
