Most god awful excuse for a post office. They will do absolutely anything to get out of doing any work, very very rude and completely unhelpful. Won’t bother going there again.

Absolutely agree with all of the negative comments here. Hope this nasty little Post Office is shut down in the very near future; it serves no purpose to the public, wouldn't accept a parcel from me...unbelievably vacuous lazy dribble of a service.

Most unfriendly unhelpful bad attitude and incompetent post office I've ever used, first and last time for me.only by chance as my local offices were closed and the last day to post overseas armed forces Xmas parcel did I use this post office.
Liked to think she knew what she was doing but clearly did not, only to be corrected by another customer who also knew more than she did!!. Luckily I've used this service many times so knew what I was talking about. She clearly did not.
Take note family /friends of active service personnel, what should cost £5 would have cost £30 to the unknowing!!!

Shocking customer service..

I've always found this post office to be very helpful and knowledgeable, happy to go above and beyond wherever possible.
To their credit, they helped feed residents during the flooding and they stayed open throughout lockdown. If they have now chosen to close a little early that's their prerogative.

Looking through these reviews, I'd suggest that some of the less-than-positive ones are simply due to people often not wanting to hear an honest/correct answer when it doesn't suit them.

Incidentally, I was witness to the previous reviewers "incident". After being asked to put a mask on, the gentleman became quite abusive, shouting and swearing at the owners daughter. With that attitude, it's little wonder he's been asked not to return - no one should have to contend with that level of abuse.

I'm surprised that the relatively low pollen count in September is affecting the gentleman's breathing so much that he's unable to wear a mask, Hay Fever usually affects a sufferers sinuses not their lungs. His symptoms sound more like asthma, perhaps he should check with his doctor.

And if the gentleman has truly already had covid, one would think he'd be more aware of the need to prevent transmission of the virus.

Everyone is open but this place closes at 3
0.0 I am probably not the only one who feels this is not good enough. But this is not their fault as they we told to close at this time which was unknown to me.
On the first day of mandatory mask usage I went in without a mask and was shouted at by their daughter for not having one. I explained that I was having a breathing problem which happens on occasion due to allergic reactions to pollution that have increased due to my having had covid earlier in the year.
She would not accept this an told me to leave.
No respect and ignorance of the law of discrimination.
When I informed her father, he basically told me not to bother returning.
I still have his texts if this is denied and a witness to the incident.
Poor service indeed.

I have been going to this post office for 5 and a half years. Never had a problem. Love them to bits. There like my extended family. People are either very rude themselves or have taken them the wrong way. We all ways have a laugh. There kind and thoughtful. And if I needed anything they'd be the 1st people I would call on. Love you all lots xx

I have never wrote a google review before but on this occasion I feel the need. My company has used the post office regularly for mail, paying bills etc. However over the last few years we have been sending a significant amount of franked mail. We have size gauges supplied by the post office we also purchase approved size boxes and envelopes, yet they consistently refuse franked and signed for mail for any reason they can (and the attitude starts to show). Take the same mail to any other post office and its accepted. (and with a nicer tone). No more post going via that office from us.

I have never had any issue with the post office side of the shop. They have always been friendly to me and helpful. Other reviewers may have got them on a bad day.

They also sell hot food which I have never experienced myself. The downfall of that is the smell and it sticks to your clothes after. I think they need better extraction because 1 minute in the shop and I can smell chips or oil on your clothing. We have also purchased birthday cards that smell of food also. Not very attractive and as I said I think it needs looking at.
