Magor Post Office

I want to say a massive thanks to the lovely people who work in Magor Post Office. My dad has dementia and pops into the Post Office almost every day. The way you are with him is just wonderful and moves me every time I accompany him. I don't know if you know what a massive gift you give him and us (his family) by helping and supporting him and reminding him to put his money away!! And I don't know if you know how grateful we are as a family. You are always cheery and you treat him like 'normal'. You help him remain independent. Thank you so much.

Fantastic post office. Modern and staff are friendly and helpful. Village is very lucky to have it as it is the nearest one for miles. Great Cafe next door.

Very polite & helpful staff, always happy to help no matter how complicated your request is. Very convenient and much used local post office.

Offers a useful service to the local community especially in these difficult times. Customer service could be improved though. The woman who runs it does not seem very enthusiastic about her job.

Nothing like the original Post office . No longer sells anything. New owners setting up. Post office part still working. Be fair give it time.

This post office isn’t what it was under the previous post mistress. The staff are more interested in being on there phone and arguing with you. As a local I will certainly be boycotting.

It's an OK post office. The lady who runs it is a bit of an old battle-axe, so prepare your ears if you mishear or question anything! Prices are as you'd expect from RM - not particularly cheap! But that's not their fault.
RM are currently running a bit of a scam (not exclusive to Magor (UK wide)), with the mock letterbox which they put your parcel through to determine price. It's much narrower than any letterbox I've ever seen, so be warned.
The post office was much nicer about 20 years ago. A much more welcoming place with friendlier staff. But I digress.

Magor PO does provide a valuable service in the village and community. However, my experiences of dealing with the staff there are definitely not positive; abruptness, disinterest and a general lack of politeness abounds... such a shame.
