Hillside Nursery School

An absolutely wonderful Nursery school. The staff here are nurturing and have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Being teacher led and having a Forest School are huge positives too. Our daughter made fantastic progress here and was so happy. She left Hillside completely school ready and still speaks fondly of her time there. You get the sense that each and every child matter. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hillside Nursery School to any family wanting the very best start to their child's education.

My daughter started here in September and has made so much progress. Thank you to all the staff, especially Kim and Diane! They couldn't have done more to make my little girl's first term at nursery fun and they've supported me in how to help her at home.

I wouldn't recommend this place. My daughter wasnt settling so I ask that's the best plan and they said " she's going to have to get use to it and so are you !!) After that I took her out . Put her into a different one. Which she loves. But they wouldnt transfer the funding so I ended up owing the new place £350. So I ask them why they wouldn't move the money they said "you win some you lose some" after I few phone calls to Lancashire council it got sorted. Avoid this place

Thank you all for being amazing. We as parents trust you with the most precious things in our lives. A responsibility that is not taken for granted, your enthusiasm and motivation to look after and educate our babies is fantastic. Hillside is a special place. I feel very lucky that Florrie is in such an inspirational and safe environment. She absolutely loves coming to nursery.

Well done to all the staff at Hillside.

My eldest went to Hillside and my youngest is currently attending. I consider it to be the best nursery school in the area. The staff are so caring and helpful, always happy to fit in with how you are approaching things at home (like potty training). The children love it here, with my eldest still loving dropping her little brother off (pre lockdown) and having a natter with her old teachers.

The facilities are fantastic, with staff constantly looking for ways they can be developed to benefit the children further. The forest school is a great asset here to the offering.

The approach of everyone at Hillside whilst in Lockdown has been fantastic, with endless support and projects for the Children to complete (if they wanted to).

My youngest was over the moon to be returning to Hillside this week, and it will forever be a special place for both our children.

I can not recommend this nursery school enough.
