Alice Model Nursery School

Alice Model is an absolutely fantastic nursery. Amazing, dedicated and caring staff. School resources are extremely diversified: The nursery is outfitted with child-sized tables and chairs arranged in small and varied clusters, with classroom materials on child-height shelves throughout the room. Activities are initially presented by the teacher, after which they may be chosen more or less freely by the children as interest dictates. Classroom materials include activities for engaging in practical skills such as pouring and spooning, materials for the development of the senses, math materials, language materials, music and art materials, and more. This is completely in line with the Montessori concept and has an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child's natural psychological, physical, and social development. All that in a multicultural and environment which is a really great for the children social development.

This outstanding nursery is state funded, but offers much more than any private nursery, even Montessori ones.

I can bodily say that I don't regret a penny that my daughter spent in this Nursery. This is an amazing school with a warm and welcoming environment. One of my son, who is now in Guardian and Angel catholic primary school attended this nursery school . The teachers have excellent communication with parents and the environment is warm and loving. Not only did my children receive a rigorous education, but they learned, too, the values of self respect, humility, charity and honour. They grew as good citizens and learned so much more than ABC's and 123's. Take a tour of this school. It was certainly the best decision that I ever made for my own children.

Our first son attended Alice Model for 5 terms from his 3rd birthday till he started primary school. It was an excellent experience giving him a sound educational start because Alice Model is a proper pre-school focussed on building educational fundamentals, rather than a nursery there just to occupy children's time while parents are at work. A good balance is struck with lots of options for creativity and plenty of learning through play.

Absolutely love this nursery. My first child went to Alice Model in 2012 and I am now back with my second child even though we no longer live in the borough I am happy to make the long journey in everyday. Staff are extremely caring and nuturing and kids have lots to occupy them. All learning is play based with the freedom to choose and work your way around the nursery. Lots of opportunity for parents to get involed too. Would recommend this nursery wholeheartedly.

This nursery is amazing and I would say one of the best Nursery school in Tower Hamlets. All 3 of my children attended the Nursery. If you want a great early start of your child’s education experience, this is the Nursery for you.

Intimate little nursery school, whose staff really seem to nurture their little charges, led by the impressive Lynne. I like it a lot.

Alice Model Nursery is a fantastic nursery with great leadership and staff. All the staff really care about the children and provide an excellent setting for children embarking on their first stage in education. Having sent both my kids there I can honestly say that they have been upholding the same high standards for many years, especially during the recent difficult times and are truly an outstanding Nursery. Everyone always goes above and beyond to provide the best to the children. The Nursery has a very great location and has a fantastic array of books, toys, apparatus, sensory areas and outings to keep children engaged and wanting to come back.
