This is just a short note to say thank you to all the St Matthews staff for putting on such a great Sports Day, all the parents really enjoyed it! Many of us there said how well organised it was and with the kids all knowing what they were doing. It was also great to see the older children in their House colours helping/ marshalling the younger KS1 children. There was a real 'House spirit' on display too.

We as parents appreciate how challenging it must be in the build up to sports Day with all the things to schedule in behind the scenes too and I'm sure we don't always say thank you enough.

Speaking to many people who have been to previous Sports Days as well as those attending for the first time in Reception we all thought the timing and coordination was superb! Huge thank you to everyone there on the day and behind the scenes for making it such a great event for us and the children.

The balloons equally were impressive and again you can appreciate it took another huge amount of coordination to both blow up the balloons / store them and get the children to release them (in line with the air traffic control timing!).

So many thanks from myself and all the other parents who really appreciate all the effort made by the staff at St Matthews - we probably don't say 'thank you' enough to you!

As a parent of two girls at St Matthews, this school Is fantastic. Both girls have thrived within the school environment and I have never heard them say that they don't want to go to school although getting one of them out of bed in the morning is a different matter. Educationally they are doing well as well as socially. I still remember visiting the school when my now 11 year old was at pre-school and it just felt right. More recently we have very sadly lost my husband and the girls Daddy. The School have been absolutely wonderful, both the Head and Deputy have been very emotionally supportive of all three of us and incredibly flexible and understanding. The school office staff are wonderful and have given me lots of time and support whilst the teaching staff and very importantly the teachers that the girls are in contact with for their emotional welfare and who they can speak to at any time have made a very difficult time for us all, in lots of ways that bit easier to face. Thank you

We love St Matthews! Our girls are very happy attending and we are so proud of the school. The enthusiasm and hard work of the entire team: management, teaching and support staff is worth noting. However it is clear that they care about the kids which is a equally important.
Recently a number of new elements were added, including a book swop day as part of Book Week and giving kids the opportunity to attend some wonderful forest school sessions.
In fact, when I come away from a parent -teacher session or other opportunity to be a bit more exposed to what they do, I walk away with a smile because it is such a positive place/experience.

Lovely school with lovely teachers and students. I had the pleasure of working at st matthews for a while and really enjoyed the work. The teachers are obviously very connected to their students and care about them a great deal. The whole school creates an amazing environment for the children and parents to feel comfortable.
