Our son "Lucas" attended Kings Oak Nursery class for the past 18 months. Lucas was diagnosed with Autism last year, he started nursery as a quite boy who would not speak to any other child in the class.

The support that Lucas received was 2nd to none, his teachers really supported him during the past 18 months. Lucas is now a very happy boy who enjoyed his schooling and has come along leaps and bounds. We could not have achieved this level for Lucas without the schools backing.

Our older daughter also attended Kings Oak 4 years ago, we moved her to a different school because at the time we felt she was not being challenged enough.

What Kings Oak has achieved under Cathy Clark in the past 5 years is incredibly impressive. The school is being driven in the right direction and the quality of teaching has improved immensely.

I feel its really important to advertise something when its good, and Kings Oak has really achieved so many things over the past 5 years.

Well done to Cathy Clarke and her incredible staff.

Keep up the fantastic work.

I've never known a more committed, dedicated and passionate team of teachers and staff.

Between them, and under the guidance of the Head Teacher, they have turned the school around. I'm proud to say my son goes there.

With their expertise, help and support, my child has blossomed.

The school has recently undergone extensive building works and now offers an impressive sports field, library, and big, bright, airy classrooms.

Don't judge a book by its' cover. Go and see for yourself.

It's a wonderful, nurturing, and welcoming school and I'd highly recommend it.

Since my daughter's main teacher went on maternity leave there seems to be a revolving door for teachers/assistants of the nursery. Every other week my LO came home mentioning another new teacher's name! How can they truly settle in and bond with one of them if they come and go?
Also, we moved home and wanted to pick her PE bag with the spare clothes and her wellies up. I called reception several times to make sure they put all of that aside so we just need to pop in and pick them up and was constantly assured that it is no problem! As if! PE bag, clothes, everything in the bag disappeared, I was told they threw it out around Easter without checking with us! And her wellies? Well, we got some that were bought in the same shop but they do not have her name labels in them! Either the labels were deliberately removed or they gave us those wellies because they could not find the right ones!
And don't get me started about complaining! I was told to send an email to the head of Nursery but was merely given an admin email address. They said it would be forwarded. Now, a week later, not one reply, not even an acknowledgement that the email was received and they would look into the matter! And whenever I call to try and get hold of the Head of Nursery then she is not available but "will call back"! The call back just never comes!

My son flourished at King's Oak in a way I didn't think possible. He transferred from a mainstream primary school into the Autism provision unit and made extraordinary progress from the word go. The unit is led and staffed by experienced and committed professionals with access to excellent resources. All of his mainstream teachers have been kind, caring and supportive as well as the vast majority of his classmates. My son made wonderful, lasting friendships at the school and we, as a family, had a very positive experience there.

My children have attended this school for the past three years. The teachers are dedicated to each child's learning, and are committed to tailor lessons specifically to suit a child's needs.
I can't fault the school in any way. The curriculum is always explained to the parents and regular updates are given in the form of coffee mornings and meetings.
When the new SATS methods were introduced last year, the staff here went the extra mile and held many parent 'lessons'. Which explained how to could help our children prepare at home.
My eldest left the school this year with brilliant SATS results.
Last year my youngest daughter had a change over of teachers. The introduction of the new teacher was done over a period of days and hand over was seamless.
Well done to the staff at Kings Oak Primary.

It's a great school. The front view doesn't do it justice - but don't judge a book by its cover! The staff are great and work so hard to give the kids the best education and opportunities. The new head is so committed to making the school even better. Loads of class trips and fun educational events inside the school too. My kids loved it!

What a fantastic school it turned it to be for my little boy who had to have many life changes before coming to this one. After attending quite a few schools, he got around to Kings Oak & boy did he settle down like he belonged. The staff is extremely dedicated & kind to kids & take their responsibilities seriously. The support staff is cognisant of the fact that kids come from different environments & hence support & nurturing is individual. Activities & and Emids are well balanced & I have barely noticed any bullying. Mr Sargent & Mrs Kwateng are highly conscientious teachers who take keen interest in progress of each kid & give them space & time to achieve little goals with every term. My boy has flourished here 😍😍😍😍😍😍

At the end of SATS week, we had the opportunity to get ice cream for free! I had 4 in total and it was lovely! The staff is kind and we get educated properly. Unfortunately, pupils only get to go swimming in the summer of Year 4 which is unfortunate so that’s a thing they could change to make the school more fun and more trips please! I’m going to leave this school in July 2019 forever and move on to secondary school with good memories! :D
