Vaughan Primary School

My siblings and I attended Vaughan School over 20 years ago and all had plenty of great memories, therefore I was initially pleased my son received a place there... but, I soon changed my mind. We had an exceptionally unpleasant experience at this school, my son previously attended before transferring to an outstanding school. Teachers were rude, on the usual 'power trip' that many teachers fall 'victim to'. The standard of teaching was diabolical, to the point where a meeting was held and teachers apologised for the poor standard of teaching. I was spoken to by two teachers (I will respect their privacy) as if I were a criminal for caring about my son's education and general well-being. I had a teacher call me and literally scream down the phone at me whilst she had a mental breakdown. I'm glad my son left, he's thriving in his new school, I'm glad to see the back of Vaughan...good riddance!

Vaughan School is brilliant.

My son has a great bond with his teachers and teaching assistants. The headmaster and all the teachers and staff I have dealt with are friendly and approachable.

Now that the school is refurbished, there are also good learning environments, including more outdoor space.

I am particularly pleased that he enjoys learning. He looks forward to going to school everyday and enthusiastically shares with us the new things he has learnt at school.

My son moved to Vaughan school mid-year as we moved home, he adjusted very well into the school thanks to the support he received from his teachers. As parents, we notice the teaching staff (Mr.Griffin as well as all the teachers/teaching assistants) take a lot of personal interest in the children. My son was going to one of the reputed larger schools in the local area earlier, Vaughan school is smaller & perhaps that helps the teachers focus more individually on the kids. The non-teaching staff too are very caring & professional- be it the breakfast club/Welfare room policy, I am very impressed.

We were delighted when our daughter received a place at this school. The reception teachers are kind and nurturing and she loves going there. I have been amazed at how quickly she has developed in her reading and writing. As parents we have also received a good amount of training to help support our child learn phonics. The new facilities are great and the head teacher is also excellent.

My child is in reception and his teacher is so kind and nurturing. All the staff and polite and friendly and the new building is wonderful. We are so happy he is at Vaughan.

We are so far extremely pleased with the school. All the staff we came across have been very dedicated and professional; parents and kids are friendly and polite. The school has undergone complete refurbishment and the new buildings are great! Very spacious playground with good equipment and two entrances (one is close to West Harrow Station, which is great for commuting).

My daughter goes to Reception in Vaughan and so far its been a good journey.Teacher and the teaching assistant have been really good and friendly. My daughter has become more confident comparatively and has been good at her reading and writing.

I went to this school and loved it so much. Teachers are extremely comforting and nice to be around. I had so much fun and shall never forget my memories there. Thank You Vaughan... (Miss Tailor is one of the best teachers ever...just don't forget to tuck in your shirt)
