Wendell Park Primary School

My son attended Wendell Park Primary school - it is brilliant - especially compared to the schools that are nearby to our current home. Teachers are good, informative and kind and have high standards of education.

The school itself is very good, what lets it down are the parents, there is a high number of somali parents and none seem to understand the concept of queuing in a line or want to integrate with other none somali parents. For this reason i removed my children and placed them in church of England schools.

We are thrilled with this school. Our child is in year 1 and we're amazed by the progress she has made in her first 18 months of school. Her reading, writing and maths are coming on in leaps and bounds - and we feel she is encouraged not just to improve, but also to enjoy her new skills, which is so important. The school also offers loads of interesting and diverse other learning opportunities - last term our child got to take part in a 'philosophy for children' course, this term it's Choir club one day and French club the next. Well done Wendell Park Primary.

Great school with wonderful teachers. Both my children have loved Wendell Park and their results have been outstanding. I couldn't have wished for more.

Crap school, Crap teachers!!!
teacher are not qualified enough to deal with children. Embarrass students instead of dealing situation in productive way.
they have no strong bullying policy.

The headteacher is unaware of the things that occur in the school.
Really difficult to speak to higher authority despite the situation being very severe.
false accusations to the students.

I worked at Wendell Park Primary School for a number of years and absolutely loved my role and ability to teach across most of the year groups within the school!
As staff, we were always very well supported in a friendly atmosphere, and I was often very taken back by the support of parents and friends who were and are still very lucky to be part of the Wendell community!
I have often thought about coming back and would jump at the chance if I lived a little nearer!!
