I moved to the area 3 years ago, and had a difficult decision of which school to choose for my kids. after looking at many primary schools in the area, we found Sherwood park primary to be very welcoming with warm and friendly staff throughout the school.
We then placed our kids there and could not fault the place, they both had a huge increase in their school results.
They settled in very quickly, and made lots of friends, and have so far had many good experiences here.
We would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a safe place to have their kids educated

My daughter currently goes to Sherwood Park. It’s been a welcoming school with teachers being very friendly and approachable. My daughter is progressing well and they quickly picked up on some extra help that she needed.

Lots of the negative comments on here are from people whose children have never attended this school. They have left these comments based on a very one sided story they have heard.

Sherwood Park is a very multi cultural school and iv never had any concerns about racist behaviour from students or teachers.

I would recommend this school

Both my children currently attend Sherwood Park Infants and Primary. My daughter has really come along here, the teachers are brilliant!! They really interact brilliantly with all children and bring out the best of your child. I was a tad concerned with my son starting, as he is delayed with his speech and Language but I have to say the school and especially the current nursery teacher have been amazing! She has put plans in place in the nursery to help all the children not just my son. He has really progressed and I couldn't thank the nursery teacher, other staff and the school enough! They have worked wonders with him. There is a constant support for my son and also myself. I am able to speak as often as I like about him to the nursery teacher, Senco teacher, Deputy and the Head Teacher. They were quick to put things in place for him and to address any concerns I had. The time and work they put in with my son and other children is amazing. The teachers, head and deputy help all children blossom and as many come from different backgrounds it gives all the children a wider and a good understanding of different cultures, religions and diversity which the school encourages and absolutely welcomes.
I placed my children here because the school had a good reputation, both the previous and the current Head Teachers, the Deputy Head teachers and all the staff who work hard to do their best for the pupils.
Sherwood park Primary School is an amazing, brilliant and excellent school and I can't recommend it enough. A few people I know have moved there children from schools to here because of how good it is.
Thank you to you all that you do with our children.

So sad to hear what's been happening here to our lovely black children. Kids only learn racism from the examples set.
Teachers have the responsibility to make sure all children are treated right and with all these legislations, policy and procedures, NO CHILD should feel targeted for their race. Teachers who don't whistle blow on other teachers who make little comments in the staff room are apart of the problem too. Teachers if you know any team member who are not treating all children correct your safeguard deputy or head should be informed and if they are involved go str8 to LADO.

This school is institutionally rascist with senior leaders advocating this practice. This school requires an immediate management takeover. This school fails to adhere to its own values of Safety and Wellbeing and
Educational Excellence Everywhere. As part of the penhill trust, this particular school is ruining the reputation of the trust by abbhorous tactics by its staff.

My daughter started Sherwood after being bullied at her previous school & she is so much happier here! Lovely teachers and friendly kids, I wished I'd moved her years ago

After watching how these two little girls have been treated because they are black goes beyond a joke, however the biggest joke is that this is a reflection of the disgusting socalled dumb down teachers who are also puppets of the wider community of people who have succumbed to the oldest tactic in the world DIVIDE AND CONQUER. to the head teacher and other teachers in the appalling school you have not only failed these two black girls and the rest of the black children who attend this school you have also failed the white children who have been failed by their own parents who push this racist agender. If you all think this is how to live then you are all in a world of hurt. Your ignorance and socalled white supremacy will only serve your downfall, mean while your white privilege will only get you all thus so far. Sickening to say the least. This stupid dumb illiterate behaviour coming from grown adults. You all make me sick.

I have children at Sherwood park, and can honestly say it is the best school in the area. Well managed, with loads of amenities, large playing fields and great teachers.
