yeah i agree with mslauts Chesswood may not have been a really posh school and the teachers may have been laid back but thats why my time at Chesswood was so fun, not wanting to sound like one of those people who have no life outside school but when the weekends ended i wouldn't
dread going to school i would try to look forward to it, seeing all my friends having a laugh. Either you had no friends or your one of those people who come back from school and have to have learn something, well im not one of those people i like coming home from school and knowing that i had a laugh with my friends.

In all honesty Chesswood from my experience was a 95% of the time a hell on Earth. The lessons are not engaging, the school meals are terrible and the teaching (apart from very few) is shocking. I openly admit that a couple of times before the new term would cry as I was dreading to go back so much, I was not being bullied nor just wanting the holidays to last longer: I dreaded going back to that school. I do no longer go to school there but Ofsted have been generous taking that prison off of special measures as all they've done is refurbished the building and if anything the teaching has got worse since special measures as most of the good teachers left when the school went into it.

Do not send you're child there if you want he/her to have a good education. However in enjoyment your child will most likely have fun but it will be the wrong side of fun like laughing at how bad the teaching is and how the teachers don't know how to use a projector and when teachers blame the failure of the school on the fact students aren't learning when it is them who aren't teaching.

One last thing to note is the education there is very balanced towards girls and I think therefore girls will enjoy it more but find it dreadful whereas a boy will just find it unbearably bad.

Please do not send you're child here if you have the choice, just choose anywhere but here so you or your child can avoid the 4 years of misery I had to endure at this awful school

My daughter has been going to Chesswood Middle School for over a year and all the teaching staff are faultless, they show motivation and give praise and encouragement to my daughter throughout. It is well managed by the deputy and headmaster and the friendly atmosphere within makes for great learning for all ages. My daughter has flourished in her education and has learnt so much in her time there already, and is keen to get there every morning for more learning. If I had more children they would without doubt go to Chesswood without question. Thank you all for your support throughout.

My daughter's in year three, so not loads of experience, but in the short time she's been there we've been really impressed with Chesswood. All of the staff are great, the facilities and activities are really good, and most importantly my child is happy. The only slight failings are, as far as I can see, due to the imposed curriculum being too strict, and not allowing for more progress to be made where it's possible.

From a Parents prospective this is a great school that pushes children to be the best that they can be, a great ethos, good leadership and caring staff make for a lovely setting for any child to thrive, learn and share. My son is really happy at the school.

A very good school! I'm currently in year 6 and all of the teachers care for you like you are one of them. If anything happens, the teachers will sort it out within that day. I was one of the first year 3's in the school; I have being going here for nearly 4 years. Would reccommend

I read through the Chesswood handwriting guide and they teach cursive wrong. The s, z, and r are incorrect.
